College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 3/8
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Tyree Appleby | WAKE | SYR | 9900 | 35.43 |
| Appleby is very expensive, but that’s because he’s been on fire lately. The Wake point guard is averaging 21.1 PPG and 39 DK over the past 10 games and has 44 and 46 DK in the past two games entering today. That latest performance came against Syracuse when Appleby stuffed the stat sheet and launched 14 threes vs the zone defense. We know Appleby is locked into shot volume and overall ancillary stats for a high floor and there’s plenty of upside in this matchup vs Cuse. The price tag puts him more in GPP territory, though. | ||||
| Judah Mintz | SYR | WAKE | 8100 | 29.02 |
| Even though Syracuse is in the midst of a lost season, Mintz is quietly putting up great numbers while being a DFS stud. The freshman is averaging 18.9 PPG and 31 DK over the past 10 games with at least 25 DK in 12 straight coming into today. He’s locked into heavy shot volume with the Orange offense centered around him, Joe Girard, and Jesse Edwards on every possession. Mintz just had 17 points and 31 DK vs Wake last game and should post similar numbers in a high-total matchup today. | ||||
| Posh Alexander | STJN | BUTLE | 7100 | 24.63 |
| Even when Alexander isn’t active scoring-wise, he still fills up the stat sheet in so many ways to return a comfortable cash floor. The St. John’s point guard is averaging 11.2 points, 4.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 25 DK over the past 10 games. He went for 17 points and a stat-stuffed 37 DK vs Butler a month ago. We’re not paying for much DFS ceiling with Alexander, but the cash safety should be there today. | ||||
| Femi Odukale | SHU | DPU | 6900 | 19.61 |
| Monitor Kadary Richmond’s status before Seton Hall’s game today. If Richmond is out, then Odukale becomes an upside GPP play. He’s stepped into a much bigger offensive and playmaking role for the Pirates in the past two games with Richmond sidelined – dropping 40+ DK in back-to-back games. Odukale is tough to trust fully, especially if Richmond plays, but his GPP ceiling to smash the slate is there in a pace boost vs DePaul. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Jamarius Burton – Pittsburgh (Cash)
- Joe Girard – Syracuse (GPP)
- TJ Bamba – Washington State (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jamal Bey | UW | COL | 5600 | 15.92 |
| Bey has been an awesome DFS value ever since he re-joined Washington’s starting lineup late in the season. He’s put up 28+ DK in three of the past four games and just scored 21 and 17 points in the final two regular-season contests. As long as PJ Fuller and Noah Williams remain out, then Bey is a fantastic value in all formats. He also had 27 DK vs Colorado earlier this season. | ||||
| Nike Sibande | PITT | GT | 4900 | 16.82 |
| Sibande’s DFS and real-life production have been up and down as Pitt’s sixth man, but he still offers plenty of value at sub-5k today. Sibande ended the season strong with 19 points/34 DK and 16 points/27 DK in the past two games. He had 21 points and 29 DK vs Georgia Tech back in January and could easily smash value again today. Temper expectations because he does have some duds in recent outings, but the upside is there. | ||||
| Daivien Williamson | WAKE | SYR | 4300 | 12.76 |
| Since Damari Monsanto went out, Williamson has stepped into a bigger role in Wake’s backcourt. He’s started the past two games with 20 points/23 DK and 11 points/15 DK in the contests – plus double-digit shot attempts in both. Against Syracuse's zone last game, Williamson took 11 three-pointers and could see similar volume today. He’s a nice salary-saver to get exposure to the highest total on the slate. | ||||
| Julian Hammond III | COL | UW | 3400 | 12.75 |
| Hammond is a glaring value on today’s slate and should be a free square. He moved into Colorado’s starting point guard role last game with KJ Simpson out and dropped 35 DK with 15 points and double-digit shot attempts in 36 minutes. When Simpson sat out a game in January, we saw Hammond also get the start then and drop 16 points with 30 DK. Don’t overthink it and plug him into cash lineups. Ethan Wright and Nique Clifford are also Colorado values to consider with Simpson out. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Joel Brown – California (GPP)
- Nique Clifford – Colorado (GPP/Cash)
- Chuck Harris – Butler (GPP)
- Ethan Wright – Colorado (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Joel Soriano | STJN | BUTLE | 9100 | 35.36 |
| Soriano is consistently pumping out 30-35 DK efforts while being a regular double-double threat. That shouldn’t change today and the St. John’s big man could have a larger advantage in the paint if Manny Bates is out or limited. Soriano is averaging 12.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 33 DK over the past 10 games. He posted 42 and 35 DK vs Butler in two regular-season matchups with a double-double in both. He’s about as safe as it gets for a high-priced cash forward. | ||||
| Mouhamed Gueye | WSU | CAL | 8900 | 31.02 |
| Gueye is dominating for Washington State right now. The big man is averaging 16.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 36 DK over the past 10 games with at least 36 DK in four straight and eight of the past 10 outings. One of those recent performances came against Cal two games ago when Gueye went for 20 points, 10 boards, and 41 DK. He should have similar success against them again today and anchor cash or GPP lineups. | ||||
| Blake Hinson | PITT | GT | 8100 | 28.93 |
| Pitt’s offense mainly runs through Blake Hinson and Jamarius Burton with both being good plays today vs Georgia Tech. As for Hinson, the power forward is running hot with 31 DK in four straight games while seeing heavy shot volume. He’s averaging 15.8 PPG and 27 DK over the past 10 contests and recently put up 19 points/31 DK vs GT in February. With Pitt looking to strengthen its NCAA Tournament resume, bank on Hinson to have another strong game. | ||||
| Tristan da Silva | COL | UW | 7500 | 27.08 |
| With KJ Simpson out for Colorado, we should see da Silva be more of a focal point offensively. That wasn’t totally the case last game when the Buffs’ big man had just 15 points and 21 DK. Still, the DFS ceiling is always high for da Silva when he’s on. He had 17 points and 31 DK vs Washington earlier this season but can have more success against a weak Huskies frontcourt. There are better expensive cash forwards, but don’t overlook da Silva in GPP. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Jesse Edwards – Syracuse (GPP)
- Keion Brooks – Washington (Cash)
- David Jones – St. John's (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jalen Thomas | BUTLE | STJN | 5600 | 15.9 |
| Manny Bates re-injured his shoulder last game and only played 11 minutes. If he’s out or limited today, then Thomas moves back into a bigger role for Butler’s frontcourt. Thomas had 25 and 19 DK in the two games Bates missed recently and he’s averaging 19 DK over the past five games since re-entering the starting lineup. This is a nice pace-boost matchup, which should lead to more rebounding opportunities for Thomas. He had 20 and 16 DK in two games vs. St. John's during the regular season. | ||||
| Maliq Brown | SYR | WAKE | 5200 | 15.67 |
| Outside of Jesse Edwards, the Syracuse frontcourt rotation is impossible to predict game to game right now. Last game vs Wake Forest, we saw Brown step back into 32 minutes and drop 30 DK in the extended playing time. Brown has been getting inconsistent playing time lately, but the upside for a 5x or 6x return is there if he’s logging 30+ minutes again. Who knows, maybe Benny Williams or Chris Bell end up being the Cuse value forward to smash this time. | ||||
| Dre Davis | SHU | DPU | 4700 | 16.88 |
| With Kadary Richmond out lately, Davis has moved into a bigger role off the bench for Seton Hall. He just scored 24 points with 34 DK last game in Richmond’s absence. Davis also had 23 and 20 DK in two games previously when Richmond was sidelined. With both guard and forward eligibility on DK, this is a solid salary-saver with plenty of upside if Richmond sits again. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Bobi Klintman – Wake Forest (GPP)
- Andrej Jakimovski – Washington State (GPP)
- Benny Williams – Syracuse (GPP)
