College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 3/7
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Max Abmas | ORR | NDSU | 9400 | 36.59 |
| Abmas is automatically a top DFS play tonight since he’s the best player in the highest total of the slate. Yes, he’s expensive, but not many guys match his floor/ceiling in this type of game environment. Abmas went for 27 points and 43 DK vs North Dakota St a month ago and had 22 points/42 DK in this matchup earlier this season. We know he’s going to take a ton of shots and have the ball in his hands almost every possession in this conference title game. | ||||
| Logan Johnson | STMRY | GONZ | 8200 | 29.5 |
| Johnson wasn’t needed much offensively last night for Saint Mary’s, but this is a bounce-back spot in a major pace boost vs Gonzaga. When he faced the Zags two games ago, Johnson went off for 27 points and 41 DK. He also had at least 41 DK in five of six games before last night. If Saint Mary’s wants to win tonight, it’ll need Johnson to be an active scorer and playmaker – making him a strong DFS option. | ||||
| Javon Bennett | MERRI | FDU | 7600 | 22.29 |
| Bennett is Merrimack’s point guard who comes into this game hot with 35+ DK in four straight games. He’s averaging 13.9 points, 5.9 assists, 3.4 steals, and 32 DK per game over the past 10 contests. Those steals are especially attractive for DFS purposes and he just racked up six last game. You can also look at Ziggy Reid ($7000) as a top guard from Merrimack tonight. | ||||
| Tae Williams | CLE | NORKY | 6300 | 25.03 |
| Williams smashed the slate last night with 18 points and a stat-filled 36 DK performance for Cleveland State. The wing has been up and down for DFS, but his ceiling is 40-50 DK at his best. In a lower-scoring matchup tonight, we have to temper expectations as he had just 21 and 20 DK vs Northern Kentucky in the regular season. Still, the slate-breaking GPP upside is there again at an affordable price point. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Demetre Roberts – Fairleigh Dickinson (GPP)
- Julian Strawther – Gonzaga (GPP)
- Ziggy Reid – Merrimack (Cash/GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Carlos Jurgens | ORR | NDSU | 5700 | 20.36 |
| Jurgens is really affordable for a guy that’s averaging 11.7 PPG and 22 DK over the past 10 games and has 24+ DK in three of the past four contests. Jurgens is a senior starter for an Oral Roberts team that plays a very tight rotation, so he’s regularly locked into minutes and can do just enough as a scorer and in other categories to return value – especially in a high-total game like this one. He went for 29 DK vs NDSU earlier this season. | ||||
| Boden Skunberg | NDSU | ORR | 5400 | 25.31 |
| Welcome to the chalk value of the slate. Simply put, Skunberg is mispriced and should actually be in the 7k range or higher. He’s averaging 18.5 PPG and 29 DK over the past 10 games and has at least 31 DK in four straight coming into tonight. Now he gets a pace boost vs Oral Roberts, whom he averaged 14 PPG and 25 DK against in the regular season. Don’t overthink it in cash, plug in Skunberg. | ||||
| Reyne Smith | COFC | UNCW | 4800 | 18.27 |
| Smith came up big for Charleston last night with 20 points in the win. Unfortunately, Charleston rolls out a deep rotation, so Smith’s minutes and DFS production are tough to trust game to game. Still, he’s the team’s most active three-point shooter and brings upside with that role. Smith also is averaging 23.5 DK over the past six games with at least 18 DK in each. His role has increased over the past month and presents a decent bargain at sub-5k. | ||||
| Joe Munden Jr. | FDU | MERRI | 4100 | 19.92 |
| Munden is a great bargain in the low-4k range as a regular starter for Fairleigh Dickinson. The junior wing is averaging 20 DK over the past 10 games and can easily return 5x value tonight at this price. Munden wasn’t needed much offensively last game in a blowout win, but he’ll be more active scoring-wise tonight. He had 22 and 19 DK vs Merrimack in the two regular season matchups. | ||||
| Jacari White | NDSU | ORR | 4100 | 13.89 |
| If you want a cheap value from the highest total on the slate, White is a solid bargain. The sophomore is North Dakota State’s sixth man in a rotation that usually just features six guys. White is averaging a decent 13 DK over the past 10 games and he had 16 DK vs Oral Roberts a month ago. It’s not a ton of DFS production, but the 4x salary-saver could be clutch on this slate. Tajavis Miller ($4700) and Damari Wheeler-Thomas ($4000) are also NDSU values to consider. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Donovan Newby – UNC Wilmington (Cash/GPP)
- Xavier Rhodes – Northern Kentucky (GPP)
- Nolan Hickman – Gonzaga (Cash)
- Damari Wheeler-Thomas – North Dakota State (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jordan Minor | MERRI | FDU | 8900 | 40.03 |
| The senior big man is the alpha for Merrimack and he deserves to be priced up this high with regular DFS stud production. Minor is averaging 18.6 points, 11 rebounds, 4.7 blocks/steals, and 45 DK over the past 10 games and just dropped 54 DK last game. He’s dominated the Northeast Conference and should continue doing that tonight to anchor cash or GPP lineups. | ||||
| Grant Nelson | NDSU | ORR | 8100 | 37.96 |
| It’ll be tough to fade Nelson on this slate with such a high floor/ceiling combo for DFS at a pretty affordable price tag compared to his production. The big man is the guy for North Dakota State and just went off for 57 DK last night with 20 points and 22 rebounds. Nelson is averaging a stud stat line of 20.4 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 46 DK over the past 10 games. He had a 50-burger vs Oral Roberts a month ago and could easily do it again tonight. | ||||
| Anton Watson | GONZ | STMRY | 7800 | 26.77 |
| We mentioned this in yesterday’s Playbook, but Watson’s DFS production has been on par with Drew Timme lately. The power forward was big for Gonzaga last night with 20 points and a stat-stuffing 38 DK effort. He now has 42, 36, and 38 DK in the past three games while filling up the stat sheet in multiple ways. When defenses key in on Timme, it’s Watson who’s been able to step up offensively and in the paint. | ||||
| Trazarien White | UNCW | COFC | 6400 | 26.02 |
| If you want to get really different at forward tonight and fade the top guys, then White is the way to go. He’s definitely risky, but could be a nice GPP contrarian play on this small slate. The UNC Wilmington wing went for a 21-point double-double and 34 DK in last night’s win and he’s averaging 15.9 PPG with 28 DK over the past 10 games. White had 31 DK vs Charleston earlier this season and has shown the upside for 30-40 DK at his best. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Tristan Enaruna – Cleveland State (Cash)
- Connor Vanover – Oral Roberts (GPP)
- Mitchell Saxen – Saint Mary's (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Ben Gregg | GONZ | STMRY | 4600 | 12.6 |
| Gregg hit some big shots for Gonzaga last night, going 4-for-6 from three-point range. He’s still tough to trust in DFS for cash lineups, the GPP upside for 4x or 5x value is there at his best. If Saint Mary’s focus on shutting down Drew Timme and Anton Watson tonight, then Gregg could be clutch for some threes and big minutes off the bench once again. | ||||
| Amari Kelly | UNCW | COFC | 4300 | 18.03 |
| The senior center isn’t heavily involved offensively for UNC Wilmington, but he can do just enough as a rebounder and in defensive stats to return value. Kelly had 23 DK in last night’s win and is averaging a decent 18.7 DK over the past 10 games. That production, though up and down, makes him a bargain at this cheap price. Plus, this is a notable pace-boost matchup for Kelly and UNC Wilmington. | ||||
| Ben Burnham | COFC | UNCW | 3900 | 16.2 |
| There aren’t a ton of great value forwards on tonight’s slate, but Burnham is a cheap option for GPP lineups. The sophomore comes off the bench for Charleston but still tends to do just enough to return value. He’s averaging 12.5 PPG and 20 DK over the past 10 games and has carved out a role as a bench scorer in Charleston’s deep rotation. Burnham went for 18 points and 28 DK vs UNC Wilmington a month ago and can easily return value at this sub-4k price tag. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Sean Moore – Fairleigh Dickinson (GPP)
- Andrew Morgan – North Dakota State (GPP)
