College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 3/11

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Kendric DavisMEMTUL920039.11
Davis went off yesterday with 33 points and 54 DK in Memphis’ win. This is par for the course for arguably the top scoring guard in college basketball who’s averaging 23 PPG and 39 DK over the past 10 games. He had a ton of success vs Tulane in the regular season with 31 points/54 DK and 26 points/47 DK in the two meetings. Expect another big scoring effort and DFS stud performance today as the top pay-up guard.
Marcus SasserUHCINCY880030.44
Sasser lit it up on Friday with 30 points and 47 DK to continue his hot run over the past month. The AAC Player of the Year has now scored 20+ points in seven of the past eight games and is averaging 21.8 PPG over this span. It’s hard to imagine his scoring streak stops in this conference semifinal, though it’s worth noting that Cincy held him in check earlier this season.
Wade Taylor IVTA&MVAND840029.5
If you want to lock in a sure thing 30 DK or so at guard today, then Taylor is your guy. The Texas A&M combo guard is averaging 19.6 PPG and 33 DK over the past 10 games as the offense rolls through him and Tyrese Radford. Against Vandy earlier this season, Taylor put up 34 DK with a stat-stuffing performance.
D'Moi HodgeMIZZBAMA770028.95
If Mizzou wants to beat Alabama today, it’ll need another big game from Hodge. He powered yesterday’s win over Tennessee with 26 points and 39 DK. Considering he’s priced below 8k and cheaper than other top guards today, Hodge could be more popular than you’d think – especially as a GPP play. He’s averaging 15.3 PPG and 30 DK over the past 10 games and has the ceiling like yesterday for much more.
Bruce ThorntonOSUPUR620019.96
Thornton has now entered the “Top Guard” range for DFS lineups and he should be popular today. The guy is on a unreal run right now while carrying Ohio State into the Big Ten semis. After dropping 21 points and 41 DK in Friday’s win, Thornton is now averaging 17.4 PPG and 28.7 DK over the past seven games as the Buckeyes’ new alpha. With Brice Sensabaugh out yesterday and possibly sidelined today, Thornton should be the top playmaker for Ohio State again.

Ezra ManjonVANDTA&M570020.18
Manjon has come on strong for Vandy over the past month. After scoring 25 points with 30 DK yesterday, he’s now averaging 12.5 PPG and 25 DK over the past 10 outings. This includes 32, 26, and 30 DK over the past three games as he’s taken on a bigger offensive role with Liam Robbins out. Manjon really shouldn’t be priced below 6k at this point and he’s a great value.
Dexter DennisTA&MVAND540021
Like Manjon, we have Dennis as another great value from this SEC semifinal matchup. He’s a solid value in the mid-5k range with 20+ DK in three straight and averaging 23 DK over the past 10 games. Dennis tends to do just enough to return value with upside for more when he’s hitting threes. He’s another player who shouldn’t be priced below 6k right now.
Nick HonorMIZZBAMA480018.09
Missouri has a few cheap options to get a piece of this high-total matchup vs Alabama. As for Honor, he’s put up 21+ DK in four of the past five games including his stat-stuffing effort in yesterday’s win over Tennessee. At the very least, we can bank on him playing 30 minutes or so per game as a regular starter for Mizzou – and that gives him plenty of opportunities to accrue stats in an uptempo matchup like this one.
Roddy Gayle Jr.OSUPUR35009.22
Sean McNeil is also a good value from Ohio State, but Gayle’s newfound production is impossible to ignore. The freshman has been starting since mid-February, but he’s been a lot more involved during this Big Ten Tournament. He has 17, 16, and 25 DK over the three games so far and his 15 points last game were a direct result of Brice Sensabaugh being out. If that’s the case again today, Gayle should be more active overall to return value at a dirt cheap price.

CBB DFS Top Forwards

Trayce Jackson-DavisIUPSU1090046.73
If you want to pay up for a top forward today, you’re choosing between Zach Edey, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Brandon Miller. Honestly, all are fantastic options at this point and all have the upside to smash the slate. If choosing one, TJD gets the nod because of his unreal form lately. The Indiana big man had a stat-filled 58 DK yesterday and now had at least 53 DK in three straight and 50 + DK in seven of the past nine. He’s always extremely tough to fade.
DeAndre WilliamsMEMTUL910036.3
Though he’s priced notably less than Edey, TJD, and Miller today, Williams can easily outperform all of them for DFS purposes in a high-scoring AAC semifinal. The Memphis big man just went off for 35 points, 13 rebounds, and 61 DK yesterday and he’s shown that 50+ DK upside at multiple points this season. Williams had 51 and 43 DK in two matchups vs Tulane this season.
Kevin CrossTULMEM840030.93
On the other side of Williams in the same game, we have Cross who can also be a top DFS forward in a high-scoring matchup with Memphis. The Tulane big went for 24 points, 13 boards, and 51 DK in yesterday’s win. Cross also had success vs Memphis earlier this season with 38 and 30 DK in the two meetings. His price tag is very affordable compared to other top forwards today.
Jordan WrightVANDTA&M710021.34
Ever since Liam Robbins went out for Vandy, it’s been Wright in the alpha role. He’s now put up 30 DK in four straight games after his 18 points and good game last night vs Kentucky. This is another play, like Bruce Thornton, that’s hard to fade right now with how hot he’s rolling down the stretch. Plus, we can roster Wright as a guard or forward on DK at a very affordable price.

Charles BediakoBAMAMIZZ510018.09
If you want a cheap Bama player in this high-total matchup, Bediako is still really affordable. The big man went off for 32 DK in yesterday’s win and he has 20+ DK in four of the past five contests. If Bediako can stay out foul trouble, he’s a solid bargain.
Felix OkparaOSUPUR480011.99
Okpara came up big for Ohio State on Friday with eight points, eight rebounds, five blocks, and 29 DK while holding his own down low against Michigan State. The matchup vs Zach Edey today gets a lot tougher and there’s a chance Okpara gets into foul trouble. Still, the upside is there to return value in his new starting role with Zed Key out. He’s at least getting the lead center minutes despite not being heavily involved offensively.
Quentin Millora-BrownVANDTA&M430010.95
Millora-Brown has been starting for Vandy recently with Liam Robbins out. Though he’s not always returning value, the big man has logged 31, 26, and 28 minutes in the past three games as a starter with Robbins out. That increase in playing time out gives him a chance to return value at this sub-5k price. He has 18 and 12 DK in the past two games and had 15 DK vs Texas A&M earlier this season.
Chandler LawsonMEMTUL400013.8
If you want a cheap way to get exposure to the high-total Memphis vs Tulane matchup, then Lawson is an option. He’s really cheap for a guy that has 28, 19, and 15 DK in the past three games and has the upside to return 5x or 6x value at this cheap salary. In fact, Lawson went for 26 and 15 DK in two games vs Tulane in the regular season. We’ll take those outputs all day at 4k flat.
