Sincere CarryKENTGONZ880036.34
Both Carry and Malique Jacobs are strong plays tonight with the Kent State offense relying very heavily on their shoulders. You can realistically roster both on this small slate in a high-scoring matchup with Gonzaga, but Carry is the alpha and gets the slight nod if choosing between them. The senior PG is averaging 18.9 points, 8.6 assists/rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 36 DK this season. He even put up 33 DK against Houston two games ago, despite shooting poorly, due to his stat-stuffing tendencies.
Julian StrawtherGONZKENT740029.53
Strawther is normally priced too high for my liking, but he has to be considered on this short slate and Gonzaga being in one of the high-scoring matchups. He has at least 10 rebounds in three of the last five games and has shown 30-40 DK upside multiple times this season at his best. However, he’s just a GPP play because the floor is lower than we’d like as he sometimes takes a backseat offensively for the Zags.
Claudell Harris Jr.CHSUKENNS710029.32
Harris has been Charleston Southern’s best player this season, averaging 17.6 PPG while leading the team in usage rate (26%) and shot share (29%). He’s put up 28+ DK in five of seven games and the only times he didn’t were on the road against Ohio State and USF. Bank on a high-usage role at home against an easier opponent tonight. Harris should be good for cash.
Matt BradleySDSUTROY690021.12
After starting the season slow, Bradley has woken up lately and looked much more like the all-conference type of player we all know. He’s put up 39, 25, and 29 DK in the last three games while maintaining a high-usage offensive role with San Diego State. Expect another 30 DK or so tonight with his stat-stuffing ability and heavy shot volume in a favorable home matchup vs. Troy. He's also underpriced compared to other top players on this slate.

Malachi SmithGONZKENT530016.09
As the season goes on, we may see Smith take on a bigger role in the Gonzaga backcourt once he gets more comfortable running the offense. However, he’s gone back-and-forth this year between being very active offensively as a scorer and then only taking a few shots the next game. The last two contests are a good reflection of his GPP boom-or-bust value. He went for 16 points and 22 DK last game against Baylor but then had only 1.25 DK in nine minutes the game prior vs. Xavier. He’s still cheap enough to consider in GPP for plenty of upside.
Boden SkunbergNDSUPOR500019.75
Skunberg is really affordable on this slate and should be popular in cash. The junior has put up 35, 18, 27, and 22 DK in the past four games while taking double-digit shot attempts in each. That tendency puts him in a prime position tonight in a high-scoring, uptempo game environment vs. Portland – especially since Grant Nelson is out for NDSU.
Juan Sebastian GorositoPORNDSU430012.64
Gorosito is a three-point shooter off the bench for Portland. That role alone gives him upside to return value on this short slate. Plus, he gets to play in a higher-scoring matchup and uptempo environment against a poor NDSU defense. Gorosito is shooting 47% from three this season (22-for-47) and has an upside of 20+ DK when he’s hitting from deep.
Emorie KnoxCHSUKENNS330016
Knox is an interesting value tonight. After not playing in Charleston Southern’s first six games, Knox made his season debut on Friday and put up 16 DK in 24 minutes off the bench. We don’t have much information on why he sat out the first games of the year, but either way it’s tough to trust any minutes or DFS production tonight. Still, the dirt cheap price tag is worth a dart throw on a small slate like this.

CBB DFS Top Forwards

Drew TimmeGONZKENT900034.41
On this small slate, Timme is the clear top player overall to get into cash lineups. Kent State doesn’t have the post defense or size to slow down Timme in the paint and he should have his normal 30-40 DK performance in this matchup. Plus, he should be motivated to bounce back from his subpar effort against Baylor last time out. Don’t overthink it in cash, but you can fade in GPPs because he’ll be chalk.
Tyler RobertsonPORNDSU840033.73
Robertson might be the top overall play on this slate outside of Drew Timme. In a point-forward role, his DFS floor/ceiling are very good with heavy usage and shot volume while also stuffing the stat sheet plenty. He’s averaging 16.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game with at least 32 DK in four straight games – including in tougher matchups like Michigan State and Villanova. Lock him into cash lineups in a high-scoring, uptempo environment against a bad defensive team in NDSU.
Moses WoodPORNDSU810027.88
Right behind Robertson, it’s Wood as a top play from Portland tonight in all formats. He’s scored in double figures in all but one game this season (against Michigan State) and he’s put up 27 DK or more in seven of 10 games so far. Wood is more of a GPP play on this slate, but the upside for 30-40 DK is there in an uptempo matchup against a weak NDSU defense and frontcourt.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

Andrew MorganNDSUPOR560022.81
With Grant Nelson sidelined, Andrew Morgan will play a bigger role in the North Dakota State frontcourt moving forward. The big man has already been a high-usage player for the Bison, but the DFS floor/ceiling combo expectation can be raised in Nelson’s absence. We’ve seen the upside of 30+ DK earlier this season from Morgan when he’s asserting himself in the paint. That potential is there tonight in an uptempo matchup with Portland.
Ben GreggGONZKENT40009.25
It’s impossible to directly replace Chet Holmgren, but Gonzaga is trying to find a viable second big man to give them something alongside and in relief of Drew Timme. It was Efton Reid at the beginning of the year, but it’s now Ben Gregg seeing more meaningful minutes. The sophomore has seen his playing time increase in three straight games with 13+ DK in all three, including across his 17 minutes vs. Baylor last time out. It’s a risky play for DFS, but Gregg is worth a shot in GPPs without much forward value on this slate.
Joshua StreitNDSUPOR39007.83
With Grant Nelson out last game, Streit logged a season-high 23 minutes and put up 18 DK with his uptick in usage and playing time. Andrew Morgan benefits from Nelson’s absence, but so does Streit who’s now much more important in the NDSU frontcourt. It’s worth taking a chance on Streit in cash or GPP in a high-scoring matchup for the potential 5x return.
