College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays December 21
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Caleb Love | UNC | MICH | 8900 | 32.08 |
| Caleb Love and RJ Davis are both priced up today, but they’re still in play in a high-scoring matchup with Michigan. Depending on how the battle between Hunter Dickinson and Armando Bacot goes down low, we could see UNC leaning on Love and Davis more often offensively if Bacot gets into foul trouble at all. Love shined in the Heels’ win over Ohio St on Saturday with his 22 points, seven assists, and 42 DK. | ||||
| Caleb Daniels | VU | STJN | 8100 | 29.73 |
| Villanova gets a major pace-boost tonight vs. St. John’s and Daniels will benefit from a DFS standpoint. First off, it’s encouraging to see Daniels continue his high usage and shot rates lately even with Cam Whitmore on the court. That keeps his floor at a solid cash level. We can raise our expectations more tonight vs. St. John’s in an uptempo and higher-scoring game environment. Daniels has had success in this matchup with 19, 13, 17, and 16 points scored in the previous four meetings. | ||||
| Isaiah Stevens | CSU | USC | 8000 | 31.55 |
| After missing the first chunk of the season, Stevens has stepped right back into a high-usage role running the point for Colorado State. He’s averaging 19 PPG this season and has put up at least 31 DK in three of the last five games. Facing USC is tough, but Stevens did just score 23 points in a low-scoring matchup vs Saint Mary’s last game. We know he’ll get the shots and have the ball in his hands a ton, so the DFS cash floor is pretty good here. | ||||
| Mike Miles Jr. | TCU | UTAH | 7200 | 28.93 |
| Miles is a pretty affordable price point for the chance at 30+ DK. Even with Damion Baugh back, Miles is still an offensive catalyst in a high-usage role for TCU. He has the GPP upside to smash this price tag that’s very cheap compared to other top guards on the slate. Still, temper expectations because Baugh has been stealing away some usage and shot volume in recent games. | ||||
| Boogie Ellis | USC | CSU | 6400 | 25.98 |
| Kobe Johnson has been lighting it up for USC and is worth a look on this slate. However, Ellis is at a season-low price tag despite scoring 28 points with 36 DK last time out. He had struggled in previous games, but that outburst is the perfect example of Ellis’ upside when he gets going offensively. This is really cheap for a guy who can go off for 30+ DK in any given night to smash in GPP lineups. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Matthew Cleveland – Florida State (Cash)
- Jett Howard – Michigan (GPP)
- Khalil Shabazz – San Francisco (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Dug McDaniel | MICH | UNC | 5200 | 14.48 |
| McDaniel is still a good value despite seeing a slight price increase. The freshman point guard has put up 34 and 21 DK in the last two games since entering the Michigan starting lineup with Jaelin Llewellyn out for the season. McDaniel is filling up the stat sheet in multiple ways while logging heavy starter minutes in a short Michigan rotation. He’s an excellent cash value in a high-total matchup with UNC. | ||||
| Lazar Stefanovic | UTAH | TCU | 4900 | 18.98 |
| Though he comes off the bench, Stefanovic is still logging starter-level minutes and playing a key role for Utah. He’s scored in double figures in four straight games and has 20+ DK in five of the last six. The sophomore wing does just enough across the board to return value and he’s a great bargain at just under 5k tonight. | ||||
| PJ Fuller II | UW | AUB | 4500 | 19.85 |
| Washington has a few values worth considering today, and Fuller is one of them who’s a great bargain at sub-5k. The Huskies’ point guard does enough across the board to put up 15-20 DK and he has upside for more in a slight pace increase vs. Auburn at home. We saw Fuller have 27 DK against Gonzaga not too long ago and that upside is there tonight. Cole Bajema and Keyon Manifield are also decent values for Washington. | ||||
| Chris Arcidiacono | VU | STJN | 4200 | 14.23 |
| Maybe this changes, but Arcidiacono’s role and playing time haven’t changed much since Cam Whitmore returned for Villanova. We’ve seen Arci still play 30+ minutes in three of the past four games and he just scored 14 points with 25 DK last time out. Now, he and ‘Nova get a pace-boost vs. St. John’s. This sub-5k price tag is too cheap for the potential 5x value or better. | ||||
| Brevin Galloway | CLEM | GT | 4100 | 19.44 |
| Despite moving to the bench last game, Galloway still put up 21 DK with 10 points scored in just 21 minutes. Whether or not this reserve role continues, the senior guard can do plenty to return value on this dirt-cheap price tag that’s laughably low. Galloway is averaging 10.3 PPG this season with at least 20 DK in seven of 12 games and 15+ DK in three others. The 5x potential is definitely there. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Tre White – USC (Cash)
- Micah Peavy – TCU (GPP)
- Hunter Cattoor – Virginia Tech (Cash)
- Makai Ashton-Langford – Boston College (Cash)
- Jalen Warley – Florida State (GPP)
- Keyon Menifield – Washington (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Hunter Dickinson | MICH | UNC | 9800 | 36.55 |
| Dickinson vs Bacot in the paint will be a fascinating watch tonight. It’s possible both have good games in real life and DFS as they tend to be more active and focused offensively while not being shut-down defensive centers. UNC has particularly struggled against opposing bigs this season and Dickinson should be the latest to post good numbers in this matchup. He’s expensive and will likely go lower-rostered, but Dickinson’s floor/ceiling combo rivals anyone on the slate. | ||||
| Armando Bacot | UNC | MICH | 9400 | 37.36 |
| On the opposite side of Dickinson, we have Bacot who’s slightly cheaper and could be the more popular of the two because of the discount. The UNC center has now posted a double-double in seven of the last eight games, including his 28-point, 15-rebound, 51 DK performance on Saturday. Dickinson isn’t the best defensive center and Bacot can have success on both ends in this matchup. | ||||
| Johni Broome | AUB | UW | 8800 | 30.45 |
| Broome may go overlooked with his high price tag and people opting for Dickinson or Bacot at the top-end of forward. Still, he’s a great bet to go for 35 DK or more in a favorable matchup and situation. Washington has a below-average interior defense, resulting in both Drew Timme and Mitchell Saxen to have good games offensively in the Huskies’ two toughest matchups this year. Broome is also being leaned on in Auburn’s attack with Wendell Green banged up and K.D. Johnson struggling at times. | ||||
| Keion Brooks Jr. | UW | AUB | 7300 | 30.48 |
| Brooks is actually a bit underpriced considering how good he’s been this season and the role he occupies in Washington’s offense. He’s put up 30 DK or more in seven of 10 games and 28 DK in another while taking a ton of shots as the Huskies’ go-to scorer. Auburn presents a tough matchup on paper, but Brooks will get the volume and usage to outperform his price tag. | ||||
| PJ Hall | CLEM | GT | 6800 | 21.46 |
| Hall is starting to see his salary increase, but he’s still a great bargain for his talent level and recent production. The Clemson center has now put up 30+ DK in four of the last five games since entering the starting lineup. His 28% usage rate and 30% shot share lead the team and that won’t change as long as he’s healthy. Bank on Hall to have a good game against a weaker Georgia Tech frontcourt that’s been struggling against opposing bigs all season. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Justyn Mutts – Virginia Tech (Cash)
- Branden Carlson – Utah (GPP)
- Nate Laszewski – Notre Dame (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Rodney Howard | GT | CLEM | 5000 | 14.12 |
| With Ja’Von Franklin out last game, Howard moved into Georgia Tech’s starting lineup and promptly put up 32 DK with a double-double. Yes, it was against Alabama State, but Howard still took advantage of his starting role. There’s a chance Franklin returns tonight, but Howard would be a nice GPP value if he starts again. Tech will need his size down low against PJ Hall. | ||||
| Zane Meeks | SFO | ASU | 4500 | 23.15 |
| Meeks is mispriced tonight because San Francisco has yet to appear on the DK slate. The Dons’ big man is averaging 23 DK this season and he’s now started three of the past four games. Meeks is a big part of San Fran’s frontcourt rotation and he can easily provide 20-25 DK or more to return value as a clutch salary-saver in the late-night window. | ||||
| Xavier Cork | TCU | UTAH | 3800 | 9.9 |
| Cork moved into TCU’s starting lineup with Eddie Lampkin out last game. Though it was against an easy opponent, Cork still put up 29 DK in a season-high 22 minutes with the new starting role. That’s encouraging moving forward if Lampkin continues to miss time. The price tag is cheap enough to take the chance in GPP or cash if we see Cork start again in Lampkin’s absence. | ||||
Also Consider:
- CJ Penha Jr. – Boston College (GPP)
- James Moors – Colorado State (Cash)
- Ben Carlson – Utah (GPP)
