College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays December 20
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Souley Boum | XAV | SHU | 8400 | 32.75 |
| Xavier’s backcourt duo of Colby Jones and Souley Boum continue to be great DFS plays whenever Xavier is on the slate. Jones is the stat-stuffer and always solid for cash. Boum has been on a roll lately with 34+ DK in four straight games and coming off a massive 57 DK performance on Friday. The former UTEP transfer has transitioned well to the power conference level and he’s averaging 17.9 PPG and 32 DK in the uptempo Xavier attack. He may be better for GPP on this slate against a good defensive team in Seton Hall. | ||||
| Bryce Hopkins | PROV | MARQ | 7800 | 31.85 |
| The former Kentucky transfer continues to be Providence’s best player and it’s resulting in some big DFS performances. Hopkins has 40+ DK and a double-double in three of the past four games. Now, he and the Friars will benefit from this pace-boost matchup at home vs. Marquette. We just saw Hopkins put up 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 42 DK on the road at Seton Hall last game and he can do something similar tonight in a high-scoring game. | ||||
| Grant Sherfield | OU | UF | 7500 | 29.61 |
| Sherfield has been operating in a high-usage role for Oklahoma and it’s keeping his DFS floor fairly safe for cash. The OU guard has 25+ DK in eight straight games with at least 34 DK five times. He’s now averaging 17.6 PPG this season with a 27% usage rate and 29% shot share. The Sooners get a huge pace-boost tonight vs. Florida on a neutral court and it should result in Sherfield being a top DFS play in cash lineups. | ||||
| Kadary Richmond | SHU | XAV | 6300 | 23.61 |
| Richmond moved back into Seton Hall’s starting lineup last game with Femi Odukale out and immediately went off for 28 points scored and 50 DK. This was definitely a ceiling performance, but Richmond is still a good stat-stuffer and a top playmaker for Seton Hall offensively. He’s a great GPP play at this price in a pace-boost matchup with Xavier where SHU will need him to take on that scoring role again. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Colby Jones – Xavier (Cash)
- Kihei Clark – Virginia (Cash)
- Jeremy Roach – Duke (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Greg Elliott | PITT | SYR | 5700 | 21.1 |
| Targeting opposing three-point shooters vs Syracuse’s zone defense is always a good strategy, so let’s do it here with Elliott. He’s Pitt’s best perimeter scorer this season, shooting 43% from three-point range with at least three makes from deep in four of the last five games. Elliott has 34 and 32 DK in the last two games and has the upside tonight if he’s draining from three. | ||||
| Damari Monsanto | WAKE | DUKE | 5300 | 18.23 |
| After sitting out a game due to a coach’s decision, Monsanto bounced back for 22 points scored and 27 DK last game on the road at Rutgers. He now has double-digit shot attempts in six straight games and seven of the past eight. The heavy and consistent shot volume has made him a great DFS value during this stretch with 20-30 DK performances. He’s still cheap enough to consider for GPP upside. | ||||
| Kyle Lofton | UF | OU | 4700 | 19.69 |
| We loved Lofton last game when he was priced at $4500, and he came through with 15 points, seven assists, and 25 DK. That’s encouraging to see after he missed a couple games with a back injury and then struggled against UConn. He’s still priced way too low at this sub-5k price tag and he should be chalky in cash again for the legit 5x return or better. | ||||
| Milos Uzan | OU | UF | 4100 | 13.3 |
| DK continues to price Uzan too cheap based on his new role. The freshman has started three straight games, replacing CJ Noland in the rotation, and it’s resulted in 22, 25, and 17 DK in those starts. His DFS floor is better than you’d think while sharing point guard duties with Grant Sherfield. The pace-boost matchup vs. Florida makes him an even better value at this mispricing. | ||||
| Kowacie Reeves | UF | OU | 3600 | 16.97 |
| Yet another mispricing from this Florida-Oklahoma matchup. Reeves just scored 20 points with 29 DK last game and yet is still just $3600?! We’ll take it. He’s bounced between the starting lineup and a bench role, but he’s still one of the top scorers for Florida with double-digit points scored in three of the last four games now. He’s an excellent salary-saver until we see him priced higher. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Tyrese Proctor – Duke (Cash)
- Joey Calcaterra – UConn (GPP)
- Noah Locke – Providence (GPP)
- Alyn Breed – Providence (Cash)
- Jacob Grandison – Duke (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jesse Edwards | SYR | PITT | 9500 | 39 |
| Edwards is expensive, but he continues to pump out good DFS performances. The Syracuse center now has 40 DK or more in six of the last seven games while averaging 14.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game in this stretch. He’s been a beast in the paint on both ends while logging heavy minutes and that shouldn’t change tonight. He’ll probably be lower-rostered than others, but the cash stud production is there. | ||||
| Kyle Filipowski | DUKE | WAKE | 8700 | 32.92 |
| Filipowski is maybe priced a tad higher than we’d like, but he’s still a good cash play on this slate. Wake has struggled to defend opposing bigs this season and Filipowski should have plenty of success inside to provide 30 DK or so with his consistent shot volume and usage. Plus, he's even more important tonight with Dereck Lively and Dariq Whitehead now out. | ||||
| Adama Sanogo | UCONN | GU | 8000 | 33.44 |
| Sanogo is always in play for GPPs with a massive ceiling, but he should be considered a top cash play tonight too. The UConn center just went off for 52 DK last game with his 27 points and 14 rebounds vs Butler. We should see another big performance against a poor defensive Georgetown squad that’s struggled against opposing bigs and gives UConn a pace-boost as well. Getting Sanogo for notably cheaper than other forwards on this slate seems like a steal. | ||||
| Blake Hinson | PITT | SYR | 7300 | 30.85 |
| Against the Syracuse zone, we like players who can either hit three’s or score/assist out of the high post. Hinson can do both of those things. He’s averaging 16.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season while shooting 37% from three and having success scoring in the mid-range/interior. Hinson is also more important to Pitt’s frontcourt while John Hugley remains out. He’s at a great price point to be a solid cash play in the mid-7k range. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Colin Castleton – Florida (GPP)
- Zach Freemantle – Xavier (Cash/GPP)
- Oso Ighodaro – Marquette (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Alex Fudge | UF | OU | 5600 | 18.93 |
| Until DK priced Fudge into the 6k range, he’ll be a great value for us. He’s coming off a double-double and 32 DK last time out and has now put up 20+ DK in five straight games. The new starting role has raised his DFS floor to a double-digit point scorer with 20+ DK on a regular basis now. We’ll take that all day at this price tag, even in a paced-down situation with Oklahoma. | ||||
| Federiko Federiko | PITT | SYR | 5000 | 16.02 |
| Federiko has started the past two games in John Hugley’s place and he’s put up some big numbers. The Pitt center has 45 and 37 DK in the two games while taking full advantage of the increase in playing time and offensive role. Yes, those performances came against easy opponents and Syracuse on the road will be a tougher test. Still, this is very affordable for the potential 20-25 DK or more from Federiko if he’s starting and Hugley is out again. | ||||
| Mark Mitchell | DUKE | WAKE | 5300 | 17.1 |
| With Dereck Lively and Dariq Whitehead both out tonight, we can bump up a few Duke players stepping into larger roles. Ryan Young is a decent value as he should start in Lively's spot, but Mitchell is a tad cheaper and he should take on more offensive usage and shot volume from the wing with Whitehead out. Keep an eye out for the starting lineup to see if Mitchell is in there or if someone like Grandison becomes a better play with a starting role. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Ryan Young – Duke (Cash)
- Dre Davis – Seton Hall (Cash)
- Matthew Marsh – Wake Forest (GPP)
