College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays December 16
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Baylor Scheierman | CRE | MARQ | 9100 | 32.27 |
| Scheierman continues to produce one of the most consistent DFS floors in college hoops. He’s expensive, but we’re basically paying for 30-40 DK to anchor cash lineups. The Creighton wing is now averaging 12.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 32 DK with at least 31 DK in seven straight games. He’ll be busy as a rebounder and scorer in this high-scoring, pace-boost matchup against Marquette – especially if Kalkbrenner is out again. | ||||
| Colby Jones | XAV | GU | 8600 | 33.52 |
| Both Colby Jones and Souley Boum are great plays tonight as the stat-stuffing backcourt duo for Xavier. There’s ways to get both in, but Jones gets the slight nod if choosing between them. He’s averaging 14.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game now and offers a strong DFS cash floor. Jones should fill up the stat sheet in this uptempo matchup with Georgetown. | ||||
| Kam Jones | MARQ | CRE | 7800 | 28.5 |
| Both Kam Jones and Tyler Kolek are good plays on this slate in a high-scoring matchup against a Creighton defense that’s struggling without a healthy Ryan Kalkbrenner. You can go Kolek for the floor, but he’s a tad expensive without much scoring upside. Jones is averaging 18.5 PPG over the past nine games and he’s set up for 30-40 DK tonight, especially if Kalkbrenner remains sidelined. | ||||
| Brandon Murray | GU | XAV | 7500 | 29.81 |
| Since we have studs from Xavier, Creighton, and Marquette all on the slate, the Georgetown guys may go overlooked but are arguably just as good in cash or GPP. We’re talking Pimo Spears, Brandon Murray, and even Jay Heath being very live options in all formats in an uptempo, high-scoring matchup with Xavier. As for Murray, he gets a slight price discount tonight because of a bad game on the road against Syracuse (understandable). Before that, he was scoring 15-20 points with 30 DK or so on a regular basis. Bank on the bounceback. | ||||
| Selton Miguel | USF | DART | 7100 | 23.22 |
| South Florida’s offense mostly revolves around the backcourt duo of Tyler Harris and Selton Miguel. Both are in play tonight at some affordable price tags, but Miguel is the better cash lineup option. The former Kansas State transfer returned from a one-game absence on Monday and put up 17 points and 29 DK. He’s now taken double-digit shots while scoring in double figures in five straight games. Plus, Miguel is stuffing the stat sheet for a slightly safer floor than Harris. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Primo Spears – Georgetown (Cash)
- Souley Boum – Xavier (Cash/GPP)
- Tyler Kolek – Marquette (Cash)
- Jay Heath – Georgetown (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Zae Blake | WI-GB | STAN | 5500 | 21.52 |
| Blake began the year on the bench, but he’s been Green Bay’s starting point guard the last four games. In that starting spot, he’s putting up 20-25 DK per game with a safe floor of ancillary stats due to the uptick in role and minutes. He’s actually performed decently enough against tough competition this season with 15 points and 28 DK vs. Wisconsin and then 20 DK vs. Loyola-Chicago. | ||||
| Anthony Pritchard | TLSA | MSVL | 5200 | 16.53 |
| Pritchard has been very up-and-down this season, but he’s very affordable for being Tulsa’s starting point guard. Though he’s struggled in recent games, especially as a scorer, things get much easier tonight against one of the literal worst teams in the country. At this cheap price tag, Pritchard should do enough across the board to put up 20+ DK and return value like he was in the beginning of the season. | ||||
| Jamir Chaplin | USF | DART | 5100 | 16.62 |
| Chaplin returned to USF’s starting lineup the last two games and logged 26 minutes in both after recently missing time due to a concussion. He’s at a solid price point tonight for a decent cash return of 4x of 5x. This is a slight pace-boost for USF and a good matchup against a weak Dartmouth squad. Chaplin should do enough now that he’s back in a starting role. | ||||
| Rayquan Brown | MSVL | TLSA | 4800 | 36 |
| Brown was just cleared to play for Mississippi Valley State and he made his season debut on Tuesday. What did the juco transfer do on the road at Wichita State? Oh, just put up 36 DK with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. It’s encouraging to see Brown not only start in his debut, but he also logged 37 minutes while taking the most shots on the team. That’s a good sign for him being heavily involved tonight – even if his team lose big. He could be chalky in cash with everyone chasing Tuesday’s performance. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Keyshawn Embery-Simpson – Tulsa (GPP)
- Ryan Cornish – Dartmouth (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jack Nunge | XAV | GU | 8700 | 31.77 |
| Since Kalkbrenner is still questionable and possibly out again tonight, Nunge is in a tier by himself when it comes to cash forwards at the high end. The Xavier center should have a ton of success inside against Georgetown tonight, whether it’s as a post scorer, rebounder, or shot-blocker. Nunge is at a season-high price tag, but he’s worth it on this small slate without many top bigs in action. | ||||
| Oso Ighodaro | MARQ | CRE | 7700 | 30.23 |
| Creighton’s interior defense has taken a hit with Kalkbrenner sidelined. That points us right towards Ighodaro, who makes his living in the paint. He’s able to score down low, rebound well, block shots, and even dish out assists from the post. Ighodaro is expensive, but he’s a great GPP play on this slate with the chance at 40 DK like last game when he dominated Notre Dame. | ||||
| Arthur Kaluma | CRE | MARQ | 7200 | 23.3 |
| With Kalkbrenner out the last two games, Kaluma has stepped into a bigger offensive role. He’s scored 27 and 15 points with 36 and 26 DK, respectively, and double-digit shot attempts in both. Kaluma’s ability to score in multiple ways is more valuable to Creighton without Kalkbrenner and that’ll continue tonight in a pace-boost matchup with Marquette. We have to put Kaluma into GPP range if Kalkbrenner ends up playing. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Zach Freemantle – Xavier (GPP)
- Cade Meyer – Green Bay (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Fredrick King | CRE | MARQ | 5900 | 11.77 |
| King has started the past two games at center with Ryan Kalkbrenner out. He didn’t do much in the first one, but King broke out on Monday with his 16 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, and 42 DK against Arizona State. He looked much more comfortable with the increase in playing time and role down low. If Kalkbrenner sits again, then King will be a popular value once again – even with huge price increase. | ||||
| Russel Tchewa | USF | DART | 5800 | 19.82 |
| At 7-foot and 280 pounds, Tchewa should have a “big” advantage in the paint against an undersized Dartmouth frontcourt. It sets up as a notable mismatch where we can pencil the USF center in for close to a double-double and 25 DK or so. Plus, there’s upside for more if Keyshawn Bryant remains out. | ||||
| Brock Heffner | WI-GB | STAN | 4600 | 16.58 |
| Facing Stanford on the road isn’t ideal, but Heffner is cheap enough to consider in cash. He’s scored in double figures in four straight games with at least 21 DK in three of those. This is a notable uptick in DFS production from what he was doing earlier in the season. Heffner is taking advantage of an increased role and minutes with some Green Bay injuries. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Dame Adelekun – Dartmouth (Cash)
- Keyshawn Bryant – USF (GPP)
- Dusan Neskovic – Dartmouth (GPP)
