CBB DFS Top Guards

Jordan WalkerUABSCAR920040.09
Jelly Walker has been a beast this season and he’ll be a top play whenever UAB is on the slate. He leads the country in scoring at 24.9 PPG and already has three 50 DK outings this season. The floor for Walker is also around 25-30 DFS points with his high usage and heavy shot volume. South Carolina has struggled defensively this season and won’t be able to contain Walker.
Umoja GibsonDPUDUQ890034.3
Gibson may go overlooked since we have Walker, McKnight, and Peterson priced above him as great plays tonight. Still, the DePaul point guard is the best player in the highest total of the slate and he’ll be a perfectly fine cash play. Outside of a dud against St. John’s last week, Gibson has at least 37 DK in four of the last five and continues to have high usage and shot rates.
Will RichardsonORECALRV850030.55
Oregon is dealing with multiple injuries in the backcourt, so Richardson is taking on a ton of usage, shot volume, and minutes right now. It’s resulting in some big stat lines for the senior point guard. Richardson just recorded a triple-double and 56 DK last game while logging 40 minutes. He’s put up 35+ DK in four of the last five and should easily do so again at home against an easier opponent in UC Riverside. He may go overlooked, but Richardson is a great cash play.
Jahmir YoungUMDUCLA820029.25
Even though Young is at a season-high price tag, he’s still a good play tonight with Maryland coming back home in a marquee matchup vs UCLA. Young has put up 35+ DK in four of the last five games while averaging 19 PPG during this stretch. He’s done it against tough teams like Illinois and Tennessee with heavy shot volume and offensive usage rates. The Terps will lean on Young tonight and his cash floor is pretty high right now.
Dae Dae GrantDUQDPU740029.7
Grant is coming off his worst shooting performance of the season and will be looking to bounce back in this high-scoring and pace-boost matchup vs. DePaul at home. Grant is averaging 18.2 PPG this season and can give us 30-40 DK when he gets hot from three-point range. He’s more of a GPP play on this slate because he can get cold at times, but the upside is there to smash the slate.

Also Consider:

  • Drew Peterson – USC (Cash)
  • Zyon Pullin – UC Riverside (Cash)
  • Joel Murray – Long Beach State (Cash)
  • Kobe Johnson – USC (GPP)

Emmanuel AkotWKUUL550023.56
Akot is a great cash play with his stat-stuffing ability. The Boise State transfer usually maintains a safe floor of ancillary stats while averaging 13.1 PPG this season. He has 18 DK or more in six straight games and 21+ DK in five of those. We’ll take that in the mid-5k range compared to others. Plus, Akot and WKU get to face lowly Louisville tonight.
Meechie Johnson Jr.SCARUAB530020.32
Johnson recently missed time with an ankle injury but he’s back in a high-usage role running South Carolina’s point. The Ohio State transfer has put up 40 and 28 DK in the past two games with 17 and 16 points scored, respectively. SC gets a pace-boost vs UAB tonight and Johnson should be busy offensively to return value. There is risk, though, because he’s been a tad underwhelming before these past two outings.
Kyle LoftonUFOHIO450018.97
Lofton returned from a two-game absence due to a back injury and had his worst game of the season against UConn last week. As a result, DK has priced him way too low and it makes him a screaming value in all formats. Lofton should be more healthy tonight with a week since that last outing. The Gators’ point guard can easily 5x or 6x his price tag and should be chalky in cash.
Jalen TerryDPUDUQ410011.62
Terry is still priced too cheap at just over 4k. He’s been starting for DePaul with Yor Anei out and he has 24 DK in two of the last three games with the uptick in playing time and role. DePaul has to roll with smaller lineups out of necessity right now and Terry should be out there for 25-30 minutes tonight. He’s a great cash value in a high-total matchup.
Brennan RigsbyORECALRV360012.5
After missing the beginning of the season, Rigsby is now seeing big minutes in Oregon’s backcourt with Couisnard and Barthelemy out. The sophomore has logged 30+ minutes in back-to-back games and even moved into the starting lineup last time out. Though Rigsby isn’t involved much offensively, his uptick in minutes and role should allow him to return value at this dirt cheap price tag.

Also Consider:

  • Marcus Tsohonis – Long Beach State (GPP)
  • Darius Johnson – UCF (GPP)
  • Paul Gebrewhit – DePaul (Cash)
  • Miles Brown – Ohio (GPP)
  • Kowacie Reeves – Florida (GPP)
  • AJ George – Long Beach State (Cash)

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Colin CastletonUFOHIO900036.08
If Florida is on the slate, then Castleton is definitely in play. The center’s DFS floor is usually at a safe level due to a 30% usage rate offensively and as one of the top shot-blockers in the country. He’ll give you 30 DK or so, but we haven’t seen a ceiling game from Castleton in a while. Maybe it’s coming tonight against an undersized Ohio team that allowed Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson go for 24 points and 14 rebounds earlier this season.
Jaime Jaquez Jr.UCLAUMD840031.58
On the road against a Top 25 team like Maryland means UCLA will lean on its veterans to get the win. Expect Jaquez to be plenty busy on the offensive end like he’s been almost every game this season – but especially when UCLA has faced tough teams. In particular, Jaquez should have success scoring inside where the Terps have struggled defensively at times. The cash return should be there for a guy that’s averaging 17.4 PPG and will fill up the stat sheet in multiple ways tonight.
Gregory JacksonSCARUAB820030.75
South Carolina has struggled this year, but GG Jackson gets his numbers – win or lose. The talented freshman is averaging 17.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 30 DK per game while having no less than 25 DK in a contest this season. We can count on the heavy usage and shot volume every time out for Jackson in cash lineups. Now he gets a pace-boost against UAB, who plays at the sixth-fastest tempo in the country.
Joshua MorganUSCLBS710025.5
If you want a piece of USC in the late-night game, Drew Peterson is a great option but he’s so expensive. Boogie Ellis has the upside but hasn’t been living up to his price tag lately. Then we have the big man Morgan, who’s notably cheaper but has the upside to smash in a pace-boost home matchup with Long Beach St. The junior center has been up-and-down this season, but we’ve seen a 30-40 DK upside at times when he’s dominating the paint on both ends. His shot-blocking could especially be a difference-maker tonight.

Also Consider:

  • Javan Johnson – DePaul (Cash)
  • KJ Buffen – UAB (GPP)

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Alex FudgeUFOHIO540017.62
Fudge has started the past two games and he should retain that starting role with CJ Felder underperforming. Hee’s scored in double figures with 20+ DK and an increase in minutes in both those starts. Fudge now has at least 20 DK in four straight games while becoming a slightly bigger part of the rotation. We’ll take that all day at this affordable price tag in cash lineups.
Dwight Wilson IIIOHIOUF530026.88
Ohio has a few values worth considering on this slate. Dwight Wilson is one of them as he’s averaging a double-double and 26 DK per game this season but is priced in the mid-5k range. A matchup tonight against Colin Castleton isn’t ideal, but this is a huge mispricing for Ohio’s go-to scorer and top rebounder. Wilson had 21 points, nine rebounds, and 34 DK vs. Hunter Dickinson earlier this season and could easily replicate those numbers tonight.
Austin RotroffDUQDPU440021.35
Rotroff comes off the bench for Duquesne but he still gets meaningful playing time at center as the team’s best rebounder. He’s too cheap for a guy who averages 21.4 DK and eight rebounds per game this season. At 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds, Rotroff will have a size and rebounding advantage down low against a depleted DePaul frontcourt. The potential double-double and 6x return is there in a high-scoring pace-boost matchup.
Lok WurORECALRV350010.58
With Nate Bittle and others out for Oregon lately, Wur has moved into a key reserve role in the frontcourt. The junior is logging 15-20 minutes off the bench but is doing just enough as a rebounder and in other stats to put up 15 DK or so each game. It’s not a ton, but we’ll take that at this sub-4k price if it lets us roster another stud.

Also Consider:

  • AJ Clayton – Ohio (Cash)
  • Javian Davis – UAB (GPP)
  • Michael Durr – UCF (GPP)
