Baylor ScheiermanCREASU890032.15
Scheierman is expensive, but he’s arguably the surest thing for cash outside of Drew Timme on tonight’s slate. Creighton’s wing is on a roll with four straight double-doubles (with rebounds) and at least 31 DK in all but two games thus far. His cash floor is high because of the rebounding and he’ll be needed on the boards and as a scorer more if Ryan Kalkbrenner sits again.
Marcus CarrUTRICE850027.91
If Texas was playing a competent opponent tonight, we’d say Carr is a top cash play on the whole slate as one of the Longhorns’ top offensive playmakers (with Tyrese Hunter). Instead, he has to be restricted to GPPs with a real possibility of not returning value on this price tag because of the blowout risk. Texas’ starters are simply tough to trust tonight in a likely easy win where Carr and others won’t take on their usual usage and shot volume. Still, he has the upside to go for 30-40 DK if he’s making three’s early.
Ryan NembhardCREASU740024.92
After starting the season slow, Nembhard has stepped up recently and become a bigger part of Creighton’s offense. He has at least 28 DK in four of the last five games and 30+ DK in three of those. Nembhard is filling the stat sheet in multiple ways and has taken double-digit shot attempts in six straight contests. Arizona State is a tough matchup, but Nembhard’s uptick in offensive role will make him a solid cash play at a decent price.
Bowen BornUNIUSF710029.86
Even in a low-total matchup, Born is still a solid play because of his high usage and offensive role for Northern Iowa. The combo guard has a 29% usage rate and 31% shot share this season while averaging 20.7 PPG. Before his dud outing last game, Born had at least 22 points scored and 31 DK in four straight games. The shot volume will be there and the cash floor is among the best on this slate.

Also Consider:

  • DJ Horne – Arizona State (GPP)
  • Joseph Girard – Syracuse (GPP)
  • Matt Bradley – San Diego State (GPP)

Arterio MorrisUTRICE480014.31
With Texas being a huge favorite tonight, we can look towards Morris stepping up with more minutes and larger second-half offensive usage to return value. The freshman has 20+ DK in three of Texas’ wins over easy opponents this season, including his 24 DK last time out in a blowout. Normally it’s tough to trust Morris, but he’s a better play than you’d think here. Sir'Jabari Rice is also a great value from the Longhorns.
Jack CollinsMONMSYR450020.18
It’s never a bad idea to target three-point shooters against the Syracuse zone defense. The matchup puts any shooter in consideration for DFS and Collins gets that target today. He’s Monmouth’s best and most active perimeter shooter and could be launching a ton from deep against the zone here. Even outside of the three-point upside, Collins is averaging 20 DK per game this season and even had 22 DK vs. Illinois earlier this year.
Hunter SallisGONZNIU390011.28
Sallis has underwhelmed this season in a backup role this season. Still, he can be considered with Gonzaga being favored by 30 tonight. Sallis’ best DFS outputs this year have come in the Zags’ blowout wins where he gets more second-half minutes and offensive usage. He had 24+ DK and 20+ minutes played in both of Gonzaga’s big wins over easy opponents earlier this season. The 5x potential is there.
Francisco FarabelloCREASU38008.68
Farabello has been tough to roster in DFS this season, but he’s now an option if Ryan Kalkbrenner is out again. The backup guard saw 22 minutes and put up 15 DK last game with Kalkbrenner sidelined as Creighton went with small-ball lineups more often. He’s now played 22 minutes in back-to-back games with 16 points and 21 DK the previous outing. Farabello brings GPP upside if he’s making three’s and at least he’ll be on the floor more if Kalkbrenner is out.

Also Consider:

  • Malachi Smith – Gonzaga (GPP)
  • Sir'Jabari Rice – Texas (Cash)
  • Tahron Allen – Monmouth (GPP)

Drew TimmeGONZNIU1020037.98
Is Gonzaga on the slate? Then Timme has to be considered a top overall play in all formats. The Zags’ center has the best floor/ceiling combo on the slate and he should still get his numbers even in a blowout win tonight. Northern Illinois doesn't have the size or interior defense to slow him down. He’s expensive, but Timme will be popular in cash and is tough to fade. You can look elsewhere in GPPs to differentiate.
Jesse EdwardsSYRMONM960038.75
If you want to fade Drew Timme, then Edwards is the pivot as he’ll be much less popular at an elevated price tag. Still, the cash floor and GPP upside are there for the Syracuse big man. He just went off for 49 DK last game vs. Georgetown and now has a double-double and 42+ DK in four of the last five. Edwards’ lowest DFS output this season was 28 DK, so he’s still gotten it done in Syracuse’s big wins.
Arthur KalumaCREASU690023
If Ryan Kalkbrenner plays tonight, then Kaluma is priced too high to trust in cash. If Kalkbrenner is out, though, Kaluma will be needed more in the Creighton frontcourt and is playable in all formats. That was the case on Saturday when he went for 27 points and 36 DK while taking on a bigger offensive role. ASU has a solid defense, but Kaluma’s uptick in shot volume and usage makes him a better option if Kalkbrenner sits.

Also Consider:

  • Ryan Kalkbrenner – Creighton (GPP if he plays)
  • Tytan Anderson – Northern Iowa (Cash)
  • Warren Washington – Arizona State (GPP)

CBB DFS Value Forwards

Myles FosterMONMSYR540023.3
Foster is pretty affordable for being Monmouth’s best overall player this season. He’s averaging 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 23 DK this season and should do enough to return value in cash lineups. Though he doesn’t offer any three-point upside, Foster’s mid-range and interior offensive skillset could be useful against the Cuse zone.
Keyshawn BryantUSFUNI440019.6
The South Carolina transfer is a bit mispriced on this slate. Bryant leads USF in usage rate (29%) and shot share (31%) when on the floor this season. The only problem is that he recently returned from an injury and has come off the bench the last two games. Before that, though, Bryant was starting and putting up 20-30 DK. We could see him back in the starting lineup tonight and taking on his bigger offensive role with the 5x potential.
Fredrick KingCREASU40008.68
King started on Saturday with Ryan Kalkbrenner out and that could be the case again tonight. Stay tuned for an update on Kalkbrenner’s status as he missed the last game with a non-COVID illness. Though King didn’t do much in his start, at least logged a season-high 18 minutes and returned 10 DK points with the uptick in playing time. Creighton went with a small-ball lineup a lot despite King starting, but this is worth a GPP dart to return value if Kalkbrenner is out again.

Also Consider:

  • Nathan Mensah – San Diego State (GPP)
  • Brock Cunningham – Texas (GPP)
