TOP GUARDS
Johnny Davis G/F (Wisconsin) Opp NEB ($9.0K DK/8.0K FD)
He has gone from not being considered one of the top 100 players in the nation just 4-5 months ago to a likely first-team All-American. The only Big Ten player to lead his team in points (20.3), rebounds (8.3), and assists (2.3) and he has done even better when playing conference competition, ranking second in the Big Ten in points (20.4 ppg) and third in rebounds (9.1 RPG). Even more impressively, Davis leads the nation in scoring vs. Top 25 teams (24.1 ppg & 8.5 RPG) and leads all major conference players with 22.5 ppg away from home. Now gets a game against the fast-paced (30th) no defense (286th) Nebraska squad that may be closer than expected- the Badgers only beat the Huskers by eight in January.
Alonzo Verge (Nebraska) Opp @ WISC ($6.9K DK/6.7K FD)
The Huskers have caught a wave and are finishing the season on a high note and are capable of putting a scare into 10th ranked Wisconsin. Verge is now playing exceptionally well at point guard and is coming off a double-double in a huge win over #23 Ohio State last week. With 154 assists this season, the sixth most in Nebraska history Verge has dished out an average of 5.8 over the last five games to go along with a 30.07% usage rate and 15 ppg. Known as a volatile player for most of his collegiate career Verge is changing some minds with a DKFP of 27-42 in six of his last seven games.
Other Top Guards
Kendric Davis (SMU) $8.5K DK * Alpha of SMU team- 19 PPG/28% usage last five
Payton Willis (MINN) $7.5K DK * Avg 36 DKFP last three
Darius Perry (CF) $7.2K DK
Michael Weathers G/F (SMU) $6.8K DK * Over 30 DKFP in five of last seven
Jamal Shead (UH) $7.4K DK/7.0K FD
TOP VALUE GUARDS
LaDavius Draine G/F (TLSA) Opp UCF ($3.2K)
Draine lost his starting job two weeks ago but seems to be working his way back to normal playing time as he played 30 minutes last game against Wichita State scoring ten points with three rebounds, two assists, and a couple of steals (21.3 DKFP). At bare minimum price and 25-30 minutes, Draine should easily make 4X value at home.
Devon Baker (Tulane) Opp @SMU ($4.0K DK)
Baker has filled in nicely for injured point guard Jalen Cook over the last two games. On Thursday, the graduate transfer, who scored 1,010 points in his first two years at UNC-Asheville, contributed 10 points and two steals in 35 minutes playing physical on both ends of the floor. This is a player that was a double-figure scorer for most of his college career and had to learn the system as a backup this season at Tulane. Baker is a scorer and tied his season-high with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in Tulane’s first meeting with SMU and I would expect more today in a full-time scorer’s role.
Other Value Guards
Tyem Freeman (UCF) $3.4K DK * Started for Darin Green (undisclosed) on Thursday- need to check status before the game
Curtis Haywood G/F (Tulsa) $3.4K * Made 1st start since Jan 12th on Wednesday- played 32 mins (18 DKFP)
Tai Strickland G/F (TEM) $4.9K DK * Has started four straight; 34 mins/23.8 DKFP last game
Damian Dunn (TEM) $5.8K DK * 30% usage last five; star freshman still trying to find rhythm after return from injury
Brad Davison (WISC) $5.1K FD
TOP FORWARDS
Hunter Dickinson (Michigan) Opp @OSU ($9.4K DK/8.7K FD)
Dickinson has kicked it up a gear and is playing monster basketball over the last couple of games. On Tuesday he poured in a career-high 33 points against Michigan State- more than the Spartans top three scorers combined and twice as many as their three centers combined. It seems like we have been waiting all season for Dickinson to flip the switch and be the best big man in the country and it cannot be coming at a better time for the Wolverines. With a 20.8-point average, 9.4 rebound, and 29% usage rate over the last five games this is marquee matchup #1 of the day Dickinson vs. EJ Liddell with both in play in all formats.
Kofi Cockburn (Illinois) Opp IOWA ($9.0K DK)
Forward is STACKED today. You can make an argument for any of these studs- Dickinson, Liddell, Cockburn, and Keegan Murray as top plays and you will not be wrong. In marquee matchup #2 of the day, we have Kofi against Keegan with a slight lean going to Cockburn due to a $1K discount from the $10K Murray. The Fighting Illini's Cockburn is currently second in the Big Ten in scoring at 21 points per game and leads the conference in rebounding at 10.5. He has struggled, for his standards, a little over the last couple of games but this is a plus matchup against an Iowa interior that is allowing 45 DKFP and 10 rebounds a game to opposing centers.
Michael Weathers G/F (SMU) Opp TUL ($3.8K DK)
Weathers is playing his best basketball of the year scoring double figures in six of his last seven games. He is coming off a season-high 41.8 DKFP game against Cincinnati when he his first double-double (19 points/11 rebounds). SMU runs a tight rotation and Weathers will get plenty of chances to pile up fantasy points this afternoon in a high paced matchup with a weak defensive Tulane squad/

TOP VALUE FORWARDS
Corey Walker Jr. (South Florida) Opp @TEM ($3.5K DK)
Walker Jr. has continued to play well down the stretch as he finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks for his first double-double of the season in Thursday’s loss to Memphis. If he plays 34 minutes again as he did in the Memphis game, he will smash value at only $3.4K since he is averaging 30.2 DKFP over his last three games. Walker Jr. may be a chalky play today but is a near must in cash games due to the pricy forwards that you want to slide in your lineups. Teammate Russel Tchewa ($3.6K) is also in play and makes for a GPP pivot off the popular Walker Jr.
