Scotty Pippen- (Vanderbilt) Opp BAMA ($9.6K DK/8.2K FD)

Scotty Pippen Jr and Vanderbilt had the fifth-highest margin of victory last night in an 86-51 win over Georgia; he led all scorers with 14 points but the Commodores didn’t need much from any individual player to coast to the win and no one played more than 24 minutes. Different scenario tonight with Alabama in a high-paced game and a 149 game total. Pippen Jr. is a solid GPP play here on both sites due to solid mid-range pricing of other guards but Pippen could certainly nuke the slate.

 

Justin Moore/Collin Gillespie (Villanova) Opp STJN ($7.2K/6.8K DK/6.5K/6.7K FD)

We have been picking on St. John’s all year so why stop today. The Johnnies are the #1 rated adjusted tempo team in the nation with a 58th ranked offense (110.5) and will provide a perfect storm for Villanova who will be forced to push their 6th ranked offense (119.56) into full pace mode. The leaders of the Wildcat offense will always be Gillespie (First Team All Big East- 16.3 points per game) and Moore (Second Team All Big East- 15.3 points per game). Both are in play and can be played together or solo- but get at least one of these two in your lineup – they are way too cheap to ignore in this game environment.

Andersson Garcia G/F (Mississippi State) Opp SCAR ($5.2K DK)

Garcia’s price has jumped about $2K over the last couple of weeks but you can’t deny his play- 24; 31 and 30 DKFP over his last three games. He’s earned minutes (26 and 28 during the last two) and creates a lot of offense from his defense and is great on the glass.  Cheap value is lacking on this slate.

 

Reese Dixon-Waters (USC) Opp UW ($3.4K DK)

A bright spot that came out of USC’s loss to UCLA the other night was that Andy Enfield put Dixon-Waters on the floor in crunch time. He had the confidence to take shots with the game on the line and played 21 minutes. He has earned more playing time and on a slate without a slam, dunk value may be worth a shot as a punt.

Armando Bacot (North Carolina) Opp UV ($9.5K DK/8.6K FD)

Bacot has been smashing with an 18.5 point and 14.6 rebound double-double average over the last five games. Plus matchup today against a Virginia team that struggles on the defensive boards (225th- 29.1%) and is 5th worse in rebounding in the ACC. When these two teams met in January Bacot scored 17 points with 22 rebounds and ended with 63 DKFP! He very well could do it again tonight but you will be paying up for it.

 

Jayden Gardner (Virginia) Opp @UNC ($7.1K DK/7.3K FD)

The East Carolina transfer was the lone Cavalier on the All-ACC team (Third) and the honor was well deserved. He finished the season as UVA’s top scorer and rebounder- 15.2 points (13th in ACC) and 6.9 rebounds (11th in ACC). With a team-high six double-doubles, Gardner is playable in all formats tonight against a North Carolina team with a 193rd defensive efficiency ranking.

 

Justyn Mutts (Virginia Tech) Opp ND ($6.8K DK/6.8K FD)

Mutts is the ultimate stat-sheet stuffer. With a 23% usage, 10.6% offensive rebounding, 21.7% defensive rebounding, 22.4% assist, and 3.6% block rate Mutts can score fantasy points in so many ways. He plays over 30 minutes and should get you 4-5X vale tonight in a decent matchup with Notre Dame.
