TOP GUARDS

Bennedict Mathurin (Arizona) Opp ASU ($7.4K DK)

Mathurin is a two-guard that has improved so much as a sophomore that there is talk he could be a lottery pick in the NBA Draft. He is averaging a team leading 17.4 points a game, along with 6.3 rebounds, 2,3 assists and 0.9 steals a night. His 17.4 points per game are good for third in the Pac-12 and he’s shooting 46.7% from the field and 39.3% at three-point range. This is a powerhouse Arizona team with the highest implied score on the slate and Mathurin is much too cheap at $7.4K.

Izaiah Brockington (Iowa State)  Opp MIZZ (7.0K DK)

The Penn State transfer is easily one of the Big 12’s top five players right now. He comes into this game third in scoring (16.9 points a game) and fifth in field goal percentage (48.1%) while leading the conference with seven double-doubles. Brock and NC State’s Dereon Seabron are the only guards in the nation averaging at least 16 points and eight rebounds a game. A cash-game lock here with upside.

Bo Hodges G/F (Butler) Opp GU ($6.5K DK)

Hodges is back healthy and finally appropriately priced. He gets a fast Georgetown team that will force Butler to pace it up and no player on Butler will benefit more than Hodges. He is coming off back-to-back games where he smashed value- 36 DKFP against Providence and 35 DKFP against Creighton. His priced has jumped another $1.5K but he could easily hit 5-6X value one more time.

Other Top Forwards:

  • Dereon Seabron (NCST) $8.7K Cash/GPP
  • Michael Devoe (GT) $8.2K Cash/GPP
  • Charlie Moore (MIA) $7.2K GPP
  • Kam McGusty (MIA) $8.5K GPP
  • Marreon Jackson (ASU) $6K GPP
  • Aminu Mohammed (GU) $6.8K Cash/GPP

VALUE GUARDS

Kerr Kriisa (Arizona) Opp ASU ($5.3K DK)

Krissa is the floor general of the second-highest adjusted tempo offense in the entire nation. This is normally a mid-$6K player that has dropped to his lowest salary since early December, yet he is still playing 30+ minutes a game with a 26.7% assist rate. Coming off a season worst game against UCLA where he took 12 shots and missed every one, that performance won’t happen again.

Ryan Nembhard (Creighton) Opp XAV ($5.4K DK)

The stud freshman is back down in value territory. Like Krissa, he is coming off a clunker shooting 1-for-10 at Butler which has forced DK to drop his price tag $1K down the $5.4K. The good news is that he took 10 shots and if he just made a few more, he would be back in his $6K+ range. Nembhard has already crushed Xavier once this season with a huge game on the road two weeks ago where he took 21 shots and ended up with 17 points, six assists and three steals for 35 DKFP. With a 25% usage rate over the last five games, I’m back on the Nembhard train today.

Leaky Black (North Carolina) Opp NCST ($4.7K DK)

With Dawson Garcia and Anthony Harris out Black has started the last two games and has put up solid fantasy numbers with 28 DKFP (Virginia Tech) and 27 DKFP (Boston College). Against BC this week, he put up a really nice performance by starting the game off with a three-pointer and in total chipped in a stat-sheet-stuffing eight points (10 the game before), four rebounds and three blocks and most importantly five assists and zero turnovers. A buy low spot for Black for his usual 4-5X performance.

Other Top Value Guards:

  • Gabe Kalscheur (ISU) $4.4K Cash/GPP
  • Tyson Walker (MSU) $4.5K GPP
  • Luther Muhammed (ASU) $3.3K Cash/GPP

TOP FORWARDS

Armando Bacot (North Carolina) Opp NCST ($9.1K DK)

Against Virginia Tech, the junior became the first Tar Heel in 55 years to record 10 straight double-doubles. The UNC success depends on Bacot’s ability to score. In their 13 wins, he has averaged 17.8 points (62.1 FG %) and in the teams six losses the points drop to 14.7 (54.8 FG%). Bacot is a core play and best overall play on the slate.

Trayce Jackson-Davis (Indiana) Opp @UMD ($8.8K DK)

Jackson-Davis is one of only three players on the Player of Year Watch List and the Defensive Player of the Year list. He is averaging a team high 18.6 points (fourth in Big Ten), a team high 8.6 rebounds (third in Big Ten) and shooting a team high 60.1% from the field (third in Big Ten). He leads the Big Ten in blocked shots with 56 and has eight double-doubles this season. It’s a fact that Maryland gets mashed by bigs in the paint and they don’t get much better than TJD especially in a close game.

Christian Koloko (Arizona)  Opp ASU ($7.2K DK)

Koloko is probably the most improved player in the country and quite possibly the best defender. The 7-foot-1 junior is averaging 13 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game shooting 63.9% from the field. He leads the Pac-12 in blocks per game and is tied for 10th nationally with a 79.9 defensive rating which is tied for 3rd nationally. Arizona will come out angry after the UCLA loss, and the Koloko/Mathurin prices are just too low for the numbers that they can possibly put up today.

  • Paolo Banchero (DUKE) $9.2K GPP
  • Mark Williams (DUKE) $7.8K GPP
  • Walker Kessler (AUB) $8.9K Cash/GPP
  • Jabari Smith (AUB) $7.4K Cash/GPP
  • Brady Manek (UNC) $8.1K GPP
  • Zach Freemantle (XAV) $6.3K Cash/GPP

TOP FORWARD VALUES

Morris Udeze (Wichita State)  Opp @TUL ($5.1K DK)

Wichita State finally has their full group back after COVID issues and they are coming off their first AAC win of the season against UCF on Wednesday. Udeze has played back-to-back 28-minute games while averaging 15 shots per contest and he leads the team with a 25.1% usage and 9.5% offensive rate.

Arthur Kaluma (Creighton) Opp XAV ($4.7K DK)

Kaluma is averaging 10+ shots a game over his last three games plus has scored 25+ DKFP in two of those games. He’s only a freshman and there have been some hiccups, but he is playing 30 minutes now with a team-leading 23.8% usage and 2.7% block rate. Kaluma is another buy-low spot on a player that we may see in the $6K range a few weeks from now.
