TOP GUARDS

Kameron McGusty (Miami-FL)  Opp ND ($8.1K DK/7.7K)

Miami is no joke this season. This is a highly efficient offense, ranking 19th nationally (115.1) out of 358 teams plus having the highest ranking in the entire ACC. Sixth-year senior guard McGusty has been the catalyst and he has taken his game to All-ACC levels. He is averaging a career high 17.9 points while posting career bests in field goal % (48.8), 3-point shooting (36.6) and free throws (82.4). Besides being a dynamic scorer by knocking down long range and drives to the basket he also leads the team in rebounding (6.2). McGusty is a steal tonight – especially on FanDuel.

JD Notae (Arkansas) Opp @UGA ($7.8K DK/8.0K FD)

Notae is a dangerous scorer as he leads the SEC in scoring with an 18.8 average. He has also become a consistent all-around player and is now one of the best in the nation. In conference play, Notae leads the Razorbacks in points, assists, and minutes per game and is the only real ball handler in the starting lineup. He has even become a better defensive player (leads the SEC in steals- 2.4) but it has led to some fouls that cut into his playing time on Saturday against West Virginia. Still, it’s worth taking a chance on this baller as the Razorbacks have the highest implied team total on the slate in a game featuring two teams that play at high paces.

Paul Scruggs (Xavier) Opp BUTL ($7.4K DK/6.8K FD)

Paul Scruggs has quietly been one of the most consistent guards in the nation yet for the last week he has been at a season low salary. He has not been below 25 DKFP in a month and one of his biggest games of the season came against this same Butler team on January 7th when he scored 15 points with seven rebounds and six assists (37 DKFP). Xavier is currently running as the 32nd best offense in the country and Scruggs leads the way with a team leading 23.6% usage rate plus a 21.9% shot and 26.9 assist rate. With a safe floor Scruggs comes in as a solid cash play on both sites tonight.

Other Top Guards to Consider:

Johnny Davis (WISC) $9.9K DK/8.4K FD

Dereon Seabron (NCST) $8.4K DK/7.8K FD  *pace up game with SYR

Buddy Boeheim (SYR) $8.6K DK/8.1K FD

Charlie Moore (MIA) $7.2K DK/7.1K FD

Anthony Polite (FSU) $6.8K DK

Markquis Nowell (KSU) $6.6K DK/7.4K FD

Joseph Girard III (SYR) $6.5K DK/5.8K FD

TOP GUARD VALUES

Au’Diese Toney (Arkansas) Opp @UGA ($5.8K DK/5.3K FD)

Toney has now been playing off-guard for the Razorbacks after being a forward earlier in the season and it has certainly paid off. He had a statement game on Saturday against West Virginia with a game high 19 points along with seven rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes. He plays a hard, efficient game and is usually guarding the opposing team’s best player. With double digit scoring in four of his last five games Toney is a double-double candidate and finds himself in the best game environment of the slate against a high paced bad defense Georgia squad.

Caleb Daniels (Villanova) Opp @MARQ ($4.4K DK/4.8K FD)

It is no secret that depth has been Villanova’s weakness all year long. Lack of fatigue and bench development for this year’s Wildcat team has been a major concern. There has only been one constant in the group of reserves- Daniels. He has been really good, averaging 9.2 points on 39.7% from deep and shooting the ball more efficiently as the season rolls on. He is healthy again and has been a reliable scorer off the bench as well as a solid ball handler. With a 5X value in three of his last four game Daniels is a decent play tonight on a slate lacking any real major value.

Other Top Value Guards:

Isaac Likekele (OSU) $5.3K DK/5.7K FD

Cam’Ron Fletcher (FSU) $3.5K DK

Jalen Warley (FSU) $4.1K

Cam Hayes (NCST) $3.6K DK/3.2K FD

TOP FORWARDS

Jaylin Williams (Arkansas)  Opp @UGA ($8.6K DK/8.2K FD)

Williams has been on a monster tear. He has not gone below 26 DKFP since before Christmas and his last three fantasy point games are 40, 42, and 51. Since conference play started, he’s the only player in the SEC averaging a double-double and 2-plus assists. He is playing with more confidence, taking the open looks, and has played himself into NBA draft conversations. I doubt Georgia will be the team to stop this roll. With the 16th best defensive rebounding rate in the nation (28.7) lock Williams into all formats on both sites.

PJ Hall G/F (Clemson) Opp FSU ($7.1K DK)

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski calls Hall one of the best big men in the country. He is right. Through the first 20 games he is averaging 14.8 points and 6.1 rebounds while shooting 48% from the field. Hall also carries a 27.3% usage and 29.9% shot rate and has been doing all of this while playing through a foot injury for the entire season. One of the most underrated players in the country finds himself at home tonight against a beat-up Florida State squad and is in play in both cash and GPPs.

Keve Aluma (Virginia Tech)  Opp GT ($6.6K DK/7.3K FD)

Keve Aluma has not been $6.6K on DraftKings in more than a year yet here we sit as he is home facing Georgia Tech. Yes, he is coming off a horrible game against Georgia Tech where he only played 24 minutes due to foul trouble and scored only 4 points with one rebound. I will take my chances that that will not happen again and lock in Aluma at a near DK misprice. This is a player with a 26.9% usage, 27.9% shot and a 9.5% offensive rebounding rate that may very well put up a monster game at home in a great matchup to shut up the critics from the weekend.

Other Top Forwards:

Oscar Tshiebwe (UK) $9.8K DK/8.7K FD  *always a top overall play

Kofi Cockburn (ILL) $8.8K DK/8.5K FD  *Wisconsin’s Crowl will struggle defending Kofi

Justyn Mutts (VT) $7.0K DK/6.5K FD

Zach Freemantle (XAV) $6.5K DK/5.5K FD

Cole Swider (SYR) $6.5K DK/6.3K FD

Bo Hodges G/F (BUTL) $6.0K DK

TOP VALUE FORWARDS

Trey Wade (Arkansas) Opp @UGA ($4.2K DK/4.3K FD)

In a slate lacking slam dunk value plays we must dig deep at forward. Wade may be one of the safest due to his starting role and nearly 40 minutes of play a game. He is still a boom or bust play with games of 27 and 38 DKFP over the last three weeks to go along with single digit FP clunkers. The Razorbacks are 7-1 when Wade plays over 10 minutes, and they are currently undefeated since he was inserted into the starting lineup going into the Missouri game. They may not be running offensive plays for Wade but he’s one of the best defensive block-out players and will get you some points on sheer hustle alone. Best game environment on the slate gives an upgrade here as Georgia is a bad defense yet high paced squad.

Khalid Moore (Georgia Tech)  Opp @VT ($4.4K DK/5.1K FD)

Moore’s minutes have been up and down, but he has started every game for the Yellow Jackets. He is coming off a 35-minute game against Miami where he scored 19 points on 12 shots for 24 DKFP. The game before that he scored nine points with five steals (23 DKFP) against Florida State on 26 minutes. If he gets the minutes Moore should hit 5-6X value which will not hurt your cash and GPP lineups.
