Quentin was released by the Red Sox at the end of minor-league spring training, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
This may be the end of the line for the 34-year-old's playing career. Quentin, a two-time All-Star, hasn't appeared in the majors since 2014. He battled injuries throughout his time in the big leagues, topping 100 games played in just three of nine seasons at the highest level. Apr 04 6:54 pm (EST)
