2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Sheehan logged 60.1 innings for the Dodgers last season, posting a 4.45 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 25.8 percent strikeout rate. Despite allowing a good bit of hard contact, and not a lot of ground balls, he managed to post a 98th percentile xBA (.186) last season, which is pretty remarkable. With 120+ innings under his belt between the majors and minors last season, he should be equipped to handle a sizable workload within the team's six-man rotation.

2024 Outlook: He'll need to improve a bit against lefties, and while he has a four-pitch mix, he's largely a fastball-changeup guy to left-handed hitters, so any development or increased trust in a third offering against lefties should go a long way for the young right-hander. With one of the best offenses in baseball backing him, if not the best, he should have no problem racking up wins if he can hold the opposition and complete five innings. There's some concern with his command (10.5 BB% in 2023), but as the season went on, the walk rate leveled out a bit. I like him to outproduce his current ADP, making him a solid value in drafts.
