2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Maikel Garcia quietly had one of the best Royals rookie seasons ever. He ranked in the 94th percentile for hard-hit rate, 87th percentile for average exit velocity, and 76th percentile for sweet spot rate. He has above average bat-to-ball skills which helped him slash .272/.323/.358 with four home runs and 50 RBI.

2024 Outlook: The pop in his bat wasn't really there but Garcia thrived as a leadoff bat with above-average speed on the basepaths. He finished third on the team with 38 walks and fourth in steals with 23 and Garcia is versatile enough to play all over the infield, and slots in well at the top of the order to set the table for Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino.
