2023 Player Outlook
Kaprielian really regressed in 2022 after a moderately successful 2021 season. The K/9 dropped from 9.28 to 6.58 and he averaged 0.87 more walks per nine innings. Every metric seemingly got worse in 2022. Opposing hitters saw his fastball much better and they took advantage. We can, and should, assume Kap still has a spot in the rotation and he will be considered a streamer based on the matchups but we don't have as much confidence now that he can average a strikeout per inning.
