2022 Player Outlook
Suarez went 8-8 with a 3.75 ERA and 1.23 WHIP for the Angels last season, making 23 appearances (14 starts) for the club. If you look at his numbers as just a starter, he posted a 4.44 ERA and 19.4 percent strikeout rate. His numbers in relief last season made his numbers a bit more approachable, but the Angels will need him to lock down a rotation spot in 2022. If Suarez can get to 135-140 innings this year, he could make for a fine late round pick, as long as you keep in mind that he doesn't boast above average strikeout numbers and his ERA will likely be in the low-to-mid 4s. He should provide innings for your fantasy team, and you could even look to stream him on road starts, especially if his home/road splits from 2021 carry into 2022.
