2023 Recap: McKinstry is the utility man extraordinaire for the Tigers. In 2023, McKinstry played in 148 games for Detroit, where he managed 518 plate appearances and slashed .231/.302/.351 with 21 doubles, four triples, and nine home runs while plating 35 runs. He also walked 44 times to 113 strikeouts.
2024 Outlook: Those numbers are not too shabby for a player who at some point occupied every spot on the field last year other than pitcher, catcher, and first and second base. At this point, McKinstry is penciled in as the Tigers third baseman and even if he is in just a utility role, he should see enough plate appearances to make him late round viable in fantasy drafts.
