2022 Player Outlook

Lux was a bust in 2021, there’s no other way around it. However, after he dealt with early injuries and a demotion to the minors, he was brought back up in September he slashed .375/.474/.521 with ten runs scored and nine RBI over the last three weeks of the regular season. So it was an awful start to the year, but he finished strong. The trade that sent A.J. Pollock to Chicago was a huge boost for Lux's chances at regular playing time, as Chris Taylor now likely plays a lot in the outfield, Gavin Lux can play second, and Max Muncy can DH. If Lux can parlay his September numbers over the course of a full season in this lineup, look out. He now looks like an insane value for those that drafted him late.
