2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Wisdom has big time power, and over a full 162 game season, it wouldn't be crazy to see him make a run at 35-40 home runs. Over the last three seasons, he has a .473 SLG and .260 ISO, all while hitting just .214 with a 36.9 percent strikeout rate! He's the epitome of boom-or-bust, and he's posted at least a 14.3 percent swinging strike rate and sub-70 percent contact rate in four straight seasons. 

2024 Outlook: There have been some small improvements to his plate discipline, but strikeouts are always going to be a big part of his game. With a career .815 OPS and .272 ISO versus left-handed pitching, the majority of his starts figure to come at first base when the team sits Michael Busch to protect him against southpaws. Wisdom will be a source of power for fantasy managers who need it, but he'll be operating on the small side of a platoon to begin the season. He's a name to monitor as the season goes on as a potential midseason pick up, especially if your team needs a jolt in the power department.
