2023 Player Outlook

Sometimes the best things are worth waiting for. That was the case for Meneses in 2022 as he finally, after parts of 10 years in the minors, reached the majors. Boy, what a season it was for Meneses all told. He played 96 games at Triple-A Rochester to start the year while slashing .286/.341/.489 with 20 homers, 64 RBI, 51 R, and a steal. He then posted 13 HR, 34 RBI, 33 R, and a steal in the 56 games in Washington while posting an impressive .324/.367/.563 triple slash. Those drafting for the power he showed should be fine looking ahead to 2023 with him likely to be around 25 long balls with 75 RBI. However, don’t expect the AVG to be hanging around the .324 mark or the .286 mark either as it’s likely down in the .260s instead. That doesn’t hurt the value too much but it certainly caps Meneses ceiling.
