2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Following the fanfare of the 2022 season, there’s no way to view 2023 as anything other than a disappointment for Meneses. The 31-year-old first baseman put up the same 13 HR total in each season, however that was over 154 games in 2023. The slash line as a whole was far lower too. His quality of contact also fell off a cliff last year in terms of average EV and Brl% that was nearly half of what it was in 2022. 

2024 Outlook: Meneses should be capable of a bit of a rebound season in 2024. Across the counting stats at least. The slash line could still continue to fall a bit due to below-average quality of contact marks and higher-than-preferred ground ball rates. Expect a handful more home runs and perhaps a bit more run-production thanks to that, but not much more.
