2022 Player Outlook

Lewis played in just 36 games last year for the Mariners, hitting .246 with five home runs and two stolen bases. His 2021 season ended abruptly, as a right knee issue took him out of the lineup in June. Back in 2020, in just 58 games he hit 11 home runs with five stolen bases, and the 27-year-old has posted a barrel rate of at least 11 degrees in each of the last three seasons. When healthy, Lewis has the upside of a guy that hits 20 home runs with double-digit stolen bases. He's young with limited at-bats, so strikeouts have been a part of his game, but he knows how to take a walk, and he barrels up baseball at a great rate. Seattle should give him everyday at-bats, and over a full season, he has 20/10 upside.
