2023 Player Outlook
Mullins showed significant regression in his power numbers after his breakout 30/30 2021 season. His Barrel %, Hard Hit % and ISO all took a hit last season. Mullins was still a major contributor in the stolen base category (34) and his contact skills were above league average, but a year after giving up switch hitting and batting left-handed exclusively, he had major issues hitting south paws (.209 BAA). He’s expected to bat leadoff for the Orioles and will help fantasy managers in the runs and stolen base categories while providing mid-teens-range HR power. Batting average might be an issue, though. He batted .258 last season, but had a .232 xBA , and if he still has issues hitting lefty pitchers. his overall batting average will once again be in the mid-.250's range.
