2022 Player Outlook
Other than his .246 batting average, Laureano was enjoying an impressive 2021 season, hitting 14 home runs with 12 stolen bases. He had a stint on the injured list for a hip issue, before he was popped for PEDs in August. He has to miss about the first month of the season to complete his suspension, but when he comes back, he'll be an everyday player for the Athletics, and is nearly a guarantee for double-digit home runs and stolen bases. There's a lot of what ifs with Laureano, namely returning from offseason core surgery and what he's like coming off the PED suspension, but a .250 batting average with 18+ home runs and 10+ stolen bases seems easily attainable for the 27-year-old.
