2022 Player Outlook
The 2021 season was a lost one for Jimenez as he suffered a ruptured pectoral tendon trying to rob someone of a home run during a spring game in March and was supposed to be out for the season. However, Jimenez' resilience was on full display as he returned to the field in late July and somehow managed to hit 10 home runs with 37 RBI over 231 plate appearances. He wasn't back to 100-percent as he also dealt with groin and knee issues, but his continued ability to bounce back ahead of schedule should be considered impressive. Still just 25-yars-old, Jimenez has some of his best years still ahead of him and expecting a .265 average with 30 homers and 100 RBI in 2021 is not an unreasonable expectation at all. The minor bumps and bruises have been and will routinely be part of his career, but not enough to discourage you from going back to him on Draft Day.
