2022 Player Outlook
Chang has been floating around the minors since his rookie ball debut in 2014, but just hasn't been able to put enough together to land a consistent role with the big club. He's had a few cups of coffee in recent seasons and settled in as a utility man specializing in the corner infield positions. Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of power and his plate discipline is lacking as well. He doesn't fan as often as his first base platoon partner, Bobby Bradley, but he doesn't draw walks at all and has soft on-base skills, at best. He's still just 26-years-old, but unless the Guardians opt to not add a bat at first base, Chang doesn't have much of a role in front of him.
