2022 Player Outlook

Dozier only hit .216 last year, but he did manage to hit 16 home runs with 54 RBI and a career-best five stolen bases. He only went 5-for-9 in stolen base attempts last year, but his nine attempts were the most in a season far. He had a very slow start to the season, so hopefully he can ride his .780 OPS in the second half of 2021 into and throughout the 2022 season. Despite a slow start, Dozier posted an 8.8 percent barrel rate and the second-best average exit velocity of his career. If he can keep the same fly ball rate, while maintaing his batted ball profile, he should be in line for another year with 15+ home runs, but there's 20+ homer upside in that frame of his. He should get everyday at bats for the Royals, and some added success on the base paths should do him well in 2022.
