2022 Player Outlook
Chad Kuhl allowed a lot of hard contact in 2021, en route to 4.82 ERA, but his 5.31 FIP paints a much scarier story. He doesn't miss many bats, his walk rate is going the wrong way, and now has to go to Colorado, which doesn't fit his skill set well. Over the last three years, he's posted a 16.7 percent HR/FB rate, 1.49 HR/9 and 9.5 percent barrel rate. If Colorado doesn't push him to use his sinking fastball more to generate more grounders, he won't last long as the team's fourth or fifth starter.
