2022 Player Outlook
Always a roller coaster with Diaz but ultimately the Mets closer turned in yet another solid season, going 5-6 with a 3.45 ERA while closing out 32 games and striking out 89 over 62.2 innings. We was of course untouchable during the covid-19 shortened season, posting a 1.75 ERA over 26 appearances but we all also remember the 2019 season when he was 2-7 with a 5.59 ERA. What version of Edwin Diaz will we get this year? Nobody knows and that will be the risk you have to take with Diaz currently being drafted among the Top 10 closers in fantasy this season with an ADP that has him going somewhere between rounds six and eight depending on your league size.
