2023 Player Outlook

It appears that Kenta Maeda is ready for a normal Spring Training with no restrictions after missing the entire 2022 season as he recovered from Tommy John surgery. Maeda, who will be 35 in April, is entering the final year of his contract with his most recent sample of work coming in 2021, when he went 6-5 with a 4.66 ERA/1.30 WHIP and 113 strikeouts over 106 innings. With a career 3.87 ERA/1.14 WHIP after four successful seasons with the Dodgers and two in Minnesota Maeda will be battling for the last and fifth spot in the rotation with Bailey Ober.
