2022 Player Outlook

Naquin operated in the strong side of a platoon last year in the Cincinnati outfield, and he thrived because of it. Cincinnati limited his at-bats against southpaws, and he slashed .283/.339/.514 against right-handers with 18 home runs in 350 at-bats (19.4 AB/HR). Naquin enjoyed a career-best barrel rate (10.4%) and fly ball rate (24%) in one of the game's better offensive parks. Cincinnati should deploy Naquin in a similar manner in 2022. He'll get the majority of his at-bats against right-handers, and he should enjoy success in said matchups. He'll likely be more enticing to DFS players than season-long players, but Naquin should hit .250-.260 with 15+ homers in 2022.
