2022 Player Outlook

Crawford had himself a MVP-caliber season in 2021 as he set career high’s in home runs (24), runs (79), RBI (90), steals (11), batting average (.298), and slugging percentage (.522). He finished fourth in the NL MVP voting behind Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, and Fernando Tatis Jr. That’s pretty good company to be in. But he is a year older and will be 35 when the season starts so it’s highly unlikely he replicates his 2021 season. He’s currently being drafted as the 30th shortstop off the board. Even if Crawford returns to his career averages, he can still be an asset and worth his current ADP. Steamer is projecting him for 19 home runs, 67 runs scored, and 71 RBI.
