2023 Player Outlook
In his first season with Houston, Neris appeared in 70 games and averaged 10.88 K/9 and just 2.41 BB/9. The 3.72 ERA isn't ideal, but most metrics indicate he was better than that with a 3.29 xERA and xFIP. He didn't give up many home runs last year and he finished with 25 holds. There might be some regression in store, but he's a proven veteran with experience as a closer in the past that should get some looks in saves + holds leagues.
