2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Chris Taylor continues to provide a quality bat in a super-utility role for the team. He logged time at second, third, short, left field, and center field last year, and he slashed .237/.326/.420 across 117 games. He continues to hit right-handed pitching better in terms of average, but he posted a .478 SLG against left-handed pitching.

2024 Outlook: There are some other bats in the Los Angeles lineup that have significant splits, and Taylor's clearest path to playing time is going to be either at third base or one of the outfield spots when the opposition is starting a southpaw. That puts him on the small side of a platoon, and he figures to be better in reality than for fantasy purposes in 2024. He'll hit .245 with 12-15 home runs again, but on the small side of a platoon, he'll endear himself more to DFS players than seasonal managers.
