Kiermaier had season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip last season. He hit seven HRs, stole six bases, and batted .228 in 63 games. Kiermaier’s elite defensive skills should ensure that if healthy, he’ll be in the Jays’ lineup on a regular basis. His speed potential makes him an intriguing late flyer in five-outfielder fantasy leagues but his inability to avoid the IL also makes him a very risky option.
