2022 Player Outlook

Myers has always been a frustrating all-or-nothing type player. He hit 58 total home runs between 2016 and 2017 but hasn’t hit over 20 since then. Now in the shortened 2020 season he did hit 15 home runs with an absurd .606 slugging percentage. Unfortunately, he did regress in 2021. He hit 17 home runs with a .434 slugging percentage. Those marks are fine and dandy, but his home runs went way back down, and he no longer has the luster of being a 20/20 player. For 2022, he’s currently being drafted just inside the top 300 players. For a late-round target, Wil Myers does have some appeal and is the kind of player you can gamble on late in drafts because we know what the upside is. He’s only 31 years old, and still hits in a great lineup.
