2022 Player Outlook

Hernandez, a right-handed batter, seemed happy to be a Red Sock and took full advantage of Fenway Park’s Green Monster by posting career highs in fly ball (32.6) and pull rates (47.2). He also barreled up on the ball at the highest rate of his career. Hernandez capped off his first season in Boston by ingratiating himself with Red Sox fans by batting .408 and belting 5 HR in the playoffs. Fenway Park seems to be a good fit for Hernandez. The adjustments he made at the plate last season should continue to help him put up solid power numbers again this season. Hernandez’s ability to play multiple positions will keep his bat in the lineup on a regular basis and increases his fantasy value.
