2022 Player Outlook
Anyone who got suckered by Keuchel's mind-boggling 1.99 ERA in 2020, got exactly what they deserved when they drafted him last season. The wheels had long been falling off the wagon, whether it was the diminishing K-rate or the inflated ERA or just a simple eye-test that showed how much he's lost off his pitches during the past couple of seasons. The lefty is under contract with the White Sox for one more season, but considering a $20M team option becomes guaranteed if Keuchel pitches at least 160 innings this season, you can probably expect him to hit the bullpen for mop-up duty if he doesn't receive a buyout altogether. You do not want him on your fantasy team.
