2022 Player Outlook
Blackmon has seen a decline in production in recent years, but nobody can really blame him for taking his $22 million player option in November. The .270 batting average was the lowest he’s seen in the last ten years and it seems unlikely we’ll get 30 home runs from him again. He’s still reliable in OBP leagues as he’s always showcased decent plate discipline in his career. In 130 games last season he still had 70+ runs and RBI and it’s well within reason he hits those marks again in 2022. He’ll turn 36 in July, but in this ballpark he can still be a 20-home run type player, but double-digit steals are well out of the question.
