2023 Player Outlook
Joe Kelly was signed in the off-season after the 2021 campaign as the White Sox hoped that they would get a veteran World Series-winning pitcher that could bolster their bullpen. It didn’t go as planned as Kelly had one of the worst seasons of his career. He dealt with injuries and just was not consistent with a 6.08 ERA/1.59 WHIP in 37 innings pitched. If he is not traded by opening day Kelly will have a job again in the pen in hopes to rekindle his past.
