2023 Player Outlook
Kluber’s 31 starts and 164 IP were the most he’s posted since the 2018 season and his 1.15 BB/9 was the lowest for any qualified starting pitcher. Unfortunately, most of his other 2022 stats continued to trend toward mediocrity. His 4.34 ERA, 7.63 K/9, and 1.21 WHIP were pedestrian at best. With the velocity on many of his pitches decreasing over the past few seasons we should expect to see more regression in Kluber’s overall performance in the near future.
