2023 Player Outlook
Paxton was on his way back from Tommy John surgery late last season but suffered a season-ending lat injury in August. Based on his track record if he is fully healthy Paxton could be a major player in the Red Sox’s rotation. Unfortunately, his track record is also littered with multiple trips to the IL. With Brayan Bello and Tanner Houck also vying for a spot in the Bosox’s rotation Paxton might end up pitching in the team’s bullpen. Watch his progress this spring.
