2022 Player Outlook
Peralta is a steady collector of stats, but similar to Walker his power has seen a significant drop-off in recent years. In 2018 he set career high’s with 30 home runs, a 48.6% hard hit rate, and a 23.4$ HR/FB ratio. Despite logging 538 plate appearances in 2021, his production fell to just eight home runs, a 32.2% hard hit rate, and a measly 7.7% HR/FB ratio. He turns 35 this year and will likely once again be a waiver wire candidate whenever he goes through a brief hot streak. He can put up anywhere from 50-70 runs and RBI, but if age continues to catch up with him then Arizona may use him more off the bench for platoon advantages.
