2022 Player Outlook
DeSclafani was awful in his final season in 2020 with Cincinnati, but he strung together a very good season in 2021 with the Giants. He won a career-high 13 games and posted a 3.17 ERA which was by far the lowest of his career. Perhaps the move to Oracle Park helped DeSclafani after spending so many seasons in the hitter-friendly confines of Cincinnati. In 2022, the Giants think DeSclafani can sustain his numbers from a year ago. They gave him a three-year deal and while the ERA likely regresses to possibly 3.70-3.80, he can still be a decent SP4/SP5 on your team.
