Martin Perez allowed four runs on seven hits and no walks with four strikeouts across 3 2/3 innings in a loss against the White Sox on Sunday.

Perez apparently made the second start of the double-header because he is 'not a morning person' according to manager Alex Cora. Well, it doesn't look like he's an afternoon person, either, after giving up four runs and not making it to the fourth inning on Sunday. Perez started the game by loading the bases on three consecutive base hits, though he'd limit the damage to just one run in the frame. Yermin Mercedes would later tag him for a solo shot in the fourth before an RBI single by Danny Mendick would end the day for the 30-year-old southpaw. Perez is in line for a matchup against the Mariners in Boston on Friday.  8:21 pm (EST)
