2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: After signing a new eight-year deal in the offseason, Nimmo backed up the expectations by playing a second-straight 150+ game season. In fact, he nearly replicated his 2022 slash line while improving in the power department. The power spike for Nimmo, a career-high 24 HR, was thanks to improvements in EV, LA, Brl%, and a better mix between GB%, LD%, and FB%.

2024 Outlook: As he crests over the hill of going from 30 to 31 years old, Nimmo should fall back toward his mean. The slash line should stay relatively intact from the last two years, but the counting stats are a different story. With a new lineup around him, the run-production stats will likely fall a bit and perhaps the power drops back down to the 16-18 range. In general look for Nimmo to be in the 3.0 fWAR range rather than 4.5 like last year.
