We are down to the World Cup’s final four teams, with one semi-final game on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. With both sites offering two-game DFS slates, we are going with our usual World Cup DFS Playbook for the two games. As always, you should find plenty of useful information if you decide to play one or both showdown slates, and I will be in the DFSAlarm Discord server before both games to answer all of your World Cup DFS questions.

Dominik LivakovicCROARG410011.4815.90
Bono has been a great play all tournament and could be again, but I am concerned that this is the game when all of the absences finally catch up to Morocco. Croatia has controlled the midfield all tournament long and they defeated Argentina 3-0 in the group stage in 2018. I don't expect a repeat but I do expect Croatia to keep the game low-scoring.
Hugo LlorisFRAMOR57007.281310.50
I think Lloris is the safest bet to get a win and I still don't trust Morocco's attackers. Lloris is still looking for his first clean sheet of this tournament but Morocco has been shut out twice in five games.

Sofiane BoufalMORFRA58005.17105.40
He is still looking for his first attacking return, but he did create three chances against Spain and Canada. I think France's defense could be vulnerable on the wings and while Hakim Ziyech is a better bet to take advantage, Boufal is cheaper and is a forward on DraftKings.
Ousmane DembeleFRAMOR750010.11713.74
You may think Dembele's inclusion on this list is a result of Antoine Griezmann's rising price, and you would be partially correct. I also think this matchup should suit Dembele more than some of the previous ones. Morocco had success forcing Spain and Portugal out wide and while France is much better equipped to take advantage, I expect Morocco to try it anyway. I would probably try to pay up for Griezmann on FanDuel but Dembele could be a steal on DraftKings.
Kylian MbappeFRAMOR1140025.422133.20
I very well might pivot to Antoine Griezmann, but I don't think Morocco can handle Mbappe given all the injuries they have been dealing with. He topped 33 DK fantasy points in three of his four starts and he is surprisingly affordable on FanDuel.
Angel Di MariaARGCRO910010.681410.48
He only played eight minutes against The Netherlands but still had five crosses and a chance created. He is too cheap on FanDuel and is as safe as they come on DraftKings, even if I am a little concerned about his ability to play 90+ minutes.
Lionel MessiARGCRO1200027.042237.18
Like Mbappe, I think Messi is easier to afford on FanDuel. He has at least three chances created in four of his five games, and he has proven that even when he is kept off the scoresheet, like against Poland, he is capable of scoring 30+ FD fantasy points.

Hakim ZiyechMORFRA690011.151414.68
This is a decent price to get France's best attacker, even if the matchup if rough. Morocco's attack is predicated on breaking out quickly from their low block and France has been vulnerable on the flank at times. Ziyech is probably safer on DraftKings but I like him on both sites.
Ivan PerisicCROARG640011.361615.70
Feel free to pivot to Luka Modric, especially on DraftKings, but Perisic has three more attacking returns so he gets the nod for me, even if Modric is much cheaper on FanDuel.
Defenders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jules KoundeFRAMOR42003.2187.47
Theo Hernandez is far more likely to jump into the attack but if Morocco is going to set in a low block for the entire game, Kounde could be coaxed forward as well. It is a big "if", but it is probably a chance worth taking at his price.
Jawad El YamiqMORFRA27001.8899.38
I am probably just playing the cheapest Morocco center back, though El Yamiq has the added bonuses of actually being healthy right now and also having scored 24.5 FD fantasy points in his lone start against Portugal. He is a a great play if he starts, though Achraf Dari could be an even better value after he had 6.5 FD fantasy points in 33 minutes vs. Portugal.
Theo HernandezFRAMOR630012.971519.17
Hernandez hasn't lived up to his price in the knockout stage, but I think he will be more involved in the attack thanks to Morocco's defensive style as well. It also doesn't hurt that he won't have to worry about defending Harry Kane or Robert Lewandowski. This is a little risky but if I'm paying up for a defender on DraftKings, it is Hernandez.
Borna SosaCROARG52007.941113.75
Argentina has allowed the most tackles + interceptions per game of the teams remaining in the tournament, and Sosa has the most tackles + interceptions in the Croatia defense. You pay up for one of his teammates if you have extra salary to spend but Sosa looks like a very nice value on FanDuel.
Josip JuranovicCROARG470010.21214.02
I have no idea why he is so cheap on DraftKings. He has at least 9.1 DK fantasy points in every game, and only Hernandez and Hakimi are averaging more fantasy points than Juranovic. This isn't a good matchup but that hasn't mattered to Juranovic to this point.
