With just 16 teams remaining in the tournament, the days of three-game Women’s World Cup DFS Slates are over. On Thursday night and early Friday morning, we get a split slate for our DFS soccer lineups for the World Cup matches. Spain is facing the Netherlands at 9:00 pm ET on Thursday and Sweden takes on Japan at 3:30 am ET on Friday. As such, we are focusing on the two-game classic slate for FanDuel and the Spain/Netherlands showdown slate for DraftKings. With that being said, there should be enough World Cup DFS picks from each game in this Playbook to give you a good place to start no matter which slate you play. Let's now look at the top World Cup DFS soccer picks on DraftKings and FanDuel for the upcoming matches.

Women's World Cup DFS Soccer Picks August 10

Goalkeepers

Daphne van DomselaarNEDESP720013.21816.75
Of the two underdogs, I think the Netherlands has the best chance of winning and keeping a clean sheet. Japan provided the blueprint for beating Spain and I think the Netherlands can follow it, at least defensively.
Ayaka YamashitaJPNSWE  1115.13
She finally allowed a goal against Norway but still provided some fantasy points thanks to the win and a couple of saves. Sweden will have the aerial advantage but if Japan can survive their set pieces, Yamashita has an excellent chance at her fourth clean sheet of this tournament.

Aoba FujinoJPNSWE  1726.55
Fujino has at least 29.1 FD fantasy points in all three starts, with at least three chances created and one goal involvement in each game. By all means pay up for Hinata Miyazawa if you can but Fujino looks like a great value.
Jenni HermosoESPNED1680020.221933.95
Hermoso struggled against Japan along with all of her teammates but she had at least 25.8 FD fantasy points in each of her other three games. All the Spain attackers are in play but I'm paying up for Hermoso if I can.
Esmee BrugtsNEDESP990015.21831.67
I think Jill Roord is overpriced, especially on FanDuel, but Brugts should be just as good at a discount price. She does a little bit of everything, and if the Netherlands pulls off the upset, she should be involved.
Midfielders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Damaris EgurrolaNEDESP54001.46104.47
Egurrola has played 75 minutes and scored 17.9 fantasy points in this tournament. She will likely start with Danielle van de Donk out, and if Egurrola comes anywhere close to 17.9 fantasy points, she is way too cheap on both sites.
Teresa AbelleiraESPNED1320018.341729.13
I'm not sure why she is so cheap on FanDuel, and she is Spain's safest attacker on DraftKings. She leads the team in crosses and is second in chances created.
Defenders
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Amanda IlestedtSWEJPN  1531.38
Sweden's best chance to score is on set pieces, and Ilestedt already has three goals in this tournament. You can pivot to Magdalena Eriksson if you need to but Ilestedt has a much higher ceiling and she should generate defensive stats as well.
Sherida SpitseNEDESP660012.861423.80
Spitse is a great value on DraftKings, and I love her versatility on FanDuel. She has 23 crosses, 10 clearances and 11 chances created through four games. That gives her a high floor on DraftKings and a high floor on FanDuel. That being said, feel free to pivot to Dominique Janssen if you need to save a buck.
