Welcome to Sunday’s six-game NHL Slate. We have some elite superstars to choose from, but we need to make sure that we are finding great value plays. There are also a decent amount of teams playing the tail end of a back-to-back, so there is value to exploit. You can build daily fantasy hockey lineups on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo Fantasy for Sunday, December 10th, but before you build those NHL daily fantasy lineups, don’t forget to check out our NHL DFS projections, the NHL Value Finder, and the NHL DFS lineup generator. Let's look closer at the daily fantasy hockey top plays for tonight's NHL DFS Showdown slate.

DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

A six-game slate feels just perfect. There are a healthy amount of player options to choose from, but not too many that it makes building a lineup difficult. We need to make sure our goalie picks are good and that we are finding players with high upside. Let’s take a look at which players we need to be targeting.

Recommended DFS Starting Goalies

Top Options for Saves

Sam Montembeault Vs. Nashville Predators

Jonathan Quick Vs. Los Angeles Kings

MacKenzie Blackwood Vs. Vegas Golden Knights

Best Odds for a Win

Logan Thompson Vs. San Jose Sharks

Filip Gustavsson Vs. Seattle Kraken

Connor Hellebuyck Vs. Anaheim Ducks

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups

Logan Thompson, G, Vegas Golden Knights

It’s entirely possible that we see Logan Thompson suit up for this game. He didn’t have to work hard against Dallas and the San Jose Sharks aren’t a difficult task. If he does play, he’s by far the best goalie option on the slate.

Connor Hellebuyck, G, Winnipeg Jets

The Anaheim Ducks are a bad hockey team. They are giving up goals in bunches and they don’t generate a ton of shots on goal. Connor Hellebuyck is an elite goalie who has a great chance of picking up the win.

Juuse Saros, G, Nashville Predators

Nashville decided to have Juuse Saros not play yesterday to be able to go tonight. Montreal doesn’t have a dangerous offence and Saros is more than capable of stopping the puck. In his last three games, he’s allowed just give and has won four of his last five starts.

Filip Gustavsson, G, Minnesota Wild

Since the coaching change, Minnesota has been playing a lot better. Filip Gustavsson is still trying to find his game but his matchup against Seattle is a good one. He hasn’t allowed more than two goals in his last four starts and is very reasonably priced.

Recommended DFS Skaters

Highest Expected Goal Totals

Nashville Predators  Vs Sam Montembeault (3.7)

Vegas Golden Knights Vs. MacKenzie Blackwood (4.4)

Winnipeg Jets Vs. John Gibson (3.5)

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

Jack Eichel, C, Vegas Golden Knights

We don’t have to think about this one too long. Jack Eichel is in a great spot tonight. He has 12 points in the last ten games and is shooting the puck a ton. His floor is very high, so he’s a perfect option in all formats.

Ryan O’Reilly, C, Nashville Predators

Ryan O’Reilly finished with five shots on goal yesterday and now has a date with the Canadiens who are just unable to defend. Montreal gave up over 45 shots to Buffalo and they could be in for a very long night. O’Reilly is worth every dollar.

Filip Forsberg, W, Nashville Predators

Sticking with the Predators, Filip Forsberg hasn’t been shooting the puck as much lately, but this is a perfect matchup for him to get back on track. He’s a scoring machine that will get a ton of good looks. He’s expensive, but there is no forward on the slate with a better matchup than him.

Jonathan Marchessault, W, Vegas Golden Knights

If you’re going to pay up for Eichel, you might as well pair him with Jonathan Marchessault. The veteran winger loves to shoot the puck and he’s going to get a ton of opportunities to do that against the Sharks. His $6300 price tag on DraftKings is also quite low considering his upside.

Justin Barron, D, Montreal Canadiens

Justin Barron has some offensive upside, but he’s also pretty good at blocking shots. Montreal is giving up a ton of shots on goal and their defencemen are being asked to get in front of as many as possible. Barron is also playing over 20 minutes a night, so the ice time volume is key here. His soft price tag on decent-sized slates makes him an interesting option.

Mario Ferraro, D, San Jose Sharks

Mario Ferraro continues to be the king of blocking shots, but he’s just not doing it as consistently. When he does get in front of shots, he’s racking up a ton, but there are games when he finishes with zero. He’s a risky option at his price point, but I still love the upside with him.
